The White House Black Market staff in Fashion Valley could learn a thing or two about customer service from the UTC store. UTC staff are warm and welcoming. Fashion Valley staff make it feel like it's an inconvenience that you came in. Clothes are the same as all their other stores and there are so many great items to choose from.

It's fun to shop at WHBM and especially during the holidays!I saw some lovely sweaters and holiday pieces while shopping inside. They have a great selection to choose from and friendly ladies inside. I especially love their blazers and sweaters for work.

Jennifer who works there is the best! She is very nice, and she is willing to help you and would find what you are looking for even in another state. Other girls there aren't willing to do that for you with an excuse that they "can't see it in their system or can't see it since it's a final sale item", etc. Jennifer provides the best customer service. WHBM, she deserves a bonus. She is an asset to the company. She located certain dresses and tops for me in needed sizes out of state.

I am currently recovery from a serious foot injury. After having 3 months of limited mobility I was able to return some items I had purchased online to this store . I had a pair of heals I had bought mid year & I understand there is a time limit on returns, but I had not even wore them as I was waiting to wear them for a special occasion. I was told by my Doctor recently that I will not be able to wear heals due to the damage to my mid foot. Since I had some clothes that I was returning as they didn't fit right, I thought I would see if they would either return or give me a store credit. Jeanece Margaret reacted so rudely about returning the heals, that when it came to the clothes that I bought over a week ago, she started questioning how I paid for them as the system wouldn't refund the whole amount. She completely embarrassed me in the store in front of customers and staff. I have been a manager in retail and would never question a customer the way she did to me. The other associates did not say anything and kept watching, except for one nice young lady, she was trying to recommend a system override, but Jeanece was even quick to tell her off that they shouldn't be doing that. I have been shopping with WHBM and SOMA for years now. Today you have lost a loyal customer!!!

I was very impressed by the customer service today. Came in looking for a dress for a specific occasion and Maria found a number of good options for me. I usually hate clothes shopping, but she made it so easy!

I love White House black Market clothing and have been shopping here for years. I came into exchange a jacket that I purchase online. I don't typically return things and did not see that their return policy was " tag has to be on." I didn't think it'd be an issue since I had a receipt and the tag and literally received the product yesterday. I explained that to the manager and she was so rude about it. Mind you, my entire outfit if White House black market head to toe. I am not some take advantage type of person who just returns things all the time. If the manager was intelligent enough , she could have read that about me. I have spend a LOT of money at this place .I never had issues at the Carlsbad location or La Jolla location. I usually get treated well by the people. Look I get that I didn't read the policy but she didn't have to be rude and condescending about how she's " worked retail for 15 years" or that she highlight the policy. I'm a CPA, I'm not stupid. I don't need the policy now highlighted. Your people need to learn a lesson in this location about treating people with respect. Don't be rude because you don't know the clientele's past and what they have purchased at this store. My entire half of my closet is WHMB. This put a terrible taste in my mouth and I don't know if I'll be coming back. I certainly won't be back at this location. I didn't even hear a hi when I walked in. Bad vibes all around. If you want better treatment , go to La Jolla UTC or Carlsbad or maybe just go anywhere else. Nasty treatment to people. A policy is fine but nobody needs to be talked down to. So no " I'm not happy that you made an exception, " I'm ticked off about the condescending treatment. A recession is coming and you should be careful how you talk to people. Your job is not always 100% guaranteed, especially when you have multiple reviews about the same attitude issue.

I came in here after trying on business professional clothes at so many spots in Fashion Valley. I needed to buy a suit for the very first time and I was super uncomfortable and unhappy with other options. I walked into WHBM and was greeted by Gina who helped me pick out four different suits to try on. I absolutely LOVED the suit I chose and Gina helped me pick out blouses and shoes to try on with it so I could get an idea of my outfit. Thank you so much for your help, Gina!

I was well taken care of and shown amazing options so I highly recommend giving WHBM a try. They even gave me a pair of heels to tie the whole outfit together.

The store has some really nice women's clothing in it unfortunately, most of it is a blend of polyester, spandex and a little bit of cotton if you're lucky. I'm a cotton girl so, pay a little more and have your body feel more comfortable in your clothing. Especially in this heat! I remember years ago when they first opened up in Del Mar now, that was a really nice shop. I wonder if they're still there? Anyway, customer service is really good here came in today and had a nice chat with some photos so, here you go. Oh! Their dressing rooms are open!
