We love this school. My two older kids went to Discovery Isle and we decided to give Yak a try. Wow what a difference. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. My son can wait to go to school.

We have had three kids who have gone to Yak for Spanish immersion for preschool and summer camps. We have never had one complaint! The teachers are all friendly and welcoming and they care for and nurture all the kids. When we drop our kids off at Yak, we know that they will have a day full of fun, laughter and enrichment. Miss Ellen is a fantastic director who truly cares for what's best for children. She is very clean and organized and we are so grateful for her and the amazing teachers!

We love Yak Academy. It is a language academy where they offer two classes, either Spanish or Mandarin. They speak only in those languages to the kids and do normal preschool activities like crafts, singing, etc. My son has been going here for a year now. He is fluent in Spanish! The director cares so much for the kids, like they are her own. And the Spanish teachers are great. The also teach Mandarin too as a separate class.

If I could give this little gem of a school 100 stars, I would. Our kids have been going there for 3.5 years, and I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. The teachers are kind, friendly and attentive. The facility is clean, welcoming, and safe. Our kids have been enrolled in the Spanish program (academic year programs and summer camp programs) and the curriculum is appropriate and fun for the students. The school is small compared to other schools that we checked out, so all the students get to interact with the teachers and are fully immersed in the language they are learning. My oldest child was completely prepared to enter Kindergarten after two years at Yak. My younger child is looking forward to going back to school next week for the final year of preschool. Both of my children have LOVED going to school at The Yak Academy. I would highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Spanish immersion preschool. As a side note, I am an elementary school teacher working in a public school dual immersion program, so I have a slightly more critical eye regarding language learning. That being said, I'm SO grateful that we found Yak and my children have been able to start their academic careers at such a wonderful preschool!
