We have been bringing our animals to Dr. Patel for over 20 years. He and his staff are compassionate and efficient. My husband and I are forever grateful for the care they have afforded our furry family. The last visit was for our old, cranky female cat. She was an ungrateful, very vocal patient but in the end, she was healthy and happy to be home bossing everyone around! Love Arrow Animal Hospital and recommend highly.

Too expensive.

Not very helpful and overpriced. This office charges considerably more for the same prescription you can get at Costco or an online pharmacy.

Dr Patel and his staff are still my favorite vets… they take great care of all of my animals. They always make me us feel like we are important and have genuine concern to make us comfortable and understand what may or may not be needed. Highly recommended.

I took my one year old Lab in for his annual follow up. I moved a year ago an hour away but since I was familiar with this office, I decided it was worth it to make the trip. I appreciated that they got me in for a next day appointment, especially because we just purchased pet insurance and I needed an updated check up to send over to them. The lady (who I believe is the Dr’s wife) tells me it’s $55 for the check up.I bring in my lab who for whatever reason gets very anxious around men. He was anxious with the male vet tech and with the vet himself. Unfortunately, the Dr was unable to perform the orthopedic portion of the exam (which I understood). He spent about 15 minutes in the room just visually inspecting my lab, listened to his heart and checked his rectum.I go to the front desk and the lady tells me it’s now $85 for the annual exam. I asked her how it could be $85 when I was told over the phone it was $55? She then proceeds to go into this rambling about how this was considered a “difficult exam” therefore they would now charge me $85. I told her out of courtesy and professionalism, the staff should notify the pet owner of that upfront and beforehand. She continued to go back and forth with me arguing that how could she predict the exam would be difficult if they haven’t seen how he reacts yet. This office has been around long enough that they should be well aware that in any business, you ALWAYS tell a customer upfront how much a service costs and should there be any added expenses for whatever reason, here’s what they are. You give the customer the opportunity and the choice to decide whether they want to give you their business or not (or can even afford it for that matter). In my case, I was not given the choice or the full, honest information upfront. Not only is that bad business, it’s disrespectful. Now looking at others reviews and seeing how people have experienced the same issues, it makes sense that they are over charging and being shady in how they do it.$85 for a 15 minute exam where my dog wasn’t even able to get the full work up is OUTRAGEOUS. And to top it off, I asked for a copy of the visit to send to my insurance and the lady tells me that she doesn’t have a copy to give me and that the insurance would need to request medical records. Big waste of time and waste of money. They have definitely lost my business.

Over the past 15 years, Arrow Animal Hospital has taken care of three of my animals. Their prices are much better than the Orange County vets in my area, and the doctor has more experience and knowledge.

Do not bring your pet here. Had an issue with my dog that required hospitalization and other treatment. However, after having the consultation, the lady comes in and goes down the list of things they wanted to do. Which, was completely off compared to what we had discussed with the doctor. She was very pushy and curt, but we waited for the doctor to come back to confirm our original plan. However, when he came back with the woman in tow, suddenly he's contradicting himself and justifying what we were going to be charged! So when we go to check out, the lady says "Oh, this amount is for today only, there's extra for tomorrow. But since you wanted to ask questions, I didn't get a chance to tell you." That was it. We took our pet and left. Upon leaving all she said was "Okay no problem, here's your dog back." It's very clear that they did not have my pet's interest at heart and were only interested in money and upselling me.
