Doctor Islander is rude hostile dismissive and disrespectful. When trying to explain my symptoms to her she frequently interrupted me and even threatened to hang up on me as I was trying to talk. She even said I was aggressive because I dared to ask her why I'm being interrogated for choosing not to bring them up every time when I had unrelated visits. but the interesting thing is I had in the very start tried to see her for it but was repeatedly dismissed, most of my visits put me in tears and feeling hopeless. She wouldn’t listen to any of it as usual and she told me if I didn’t stop talking and listen to her repeat the same contradicting questions of why I didn’t bring them up before that she would just hang up on me. I repeatedly tried to explain that my past experiences with her made me reluctant to seek treatment but she just kept raising her voice telling me to be quiet and told me if I didn’t like her service I should just find myself a new doctor. All I called her for was to see if she could refer me to a chiropractor for my chronic back and neck pain. I’m only 24 and I have a herniated disk and she tried to tell me my only option was surgery about a year back. (Also I just thought I should add I never actually met with her directly for any of the visits concerning my back always nurse practitioners that we’re awful but now I see where they learned it from) my pain consistently worsened and I was getting nowhere with her so I started paying out of pocket for treatment with optum, after a while i couldn’t keep affording optum, and they were the reason I improved at all… I thought maybe it’s not too much to ask her for a chiropractor I mean since it’s expensive treatment I need to go in network. Instead I now have to wait a month to switch doctors. I should have done it long ago. The only person that behaves like a medical care professional is the lady that would take my weight and ask about my visit, she was kind, every time I walked In I felt like I shrunk I felt scared always. It took me getting used to seeing other doctors at optum without a feeling of anxiety. My experiences here were not just unhelpful or negative, it was traumatizing. On top of already difficult health issues I never expected to deal with at my age. The nice lady also seemed to be the only one who remembered that I’v was battling chronic pain in my visits, even asking me how I was doing before I met with the nurse, but the actual doctor islander acted like it was news to her. I probably went in about 5 times on different occasions for that issue before I decided to pay out of pocket for someone else out of desperation to have some way of coping or some idea of what was happening. Everything I asked for was a battle. I even paid out of pocket for the MRI on my back and had to do a lot of research on my own. Before realizing what was even wrong with me. Now I ask for a chiropractor after all of this and it’s still the same. Doesn’t matter how awful she is to you she doesn’t care if u suffer because of her neglect. All she seems to care about is easy money and anyone who needs long term treatment she will treat u like dirt until your forced to go somewhere else

WORST DOCTOR EVER. She needs to retire. Won’t renew prescriptions and said my ear wasn’t plugged when the pa said she saw something in it and now my ear is infected. Get rid of her.

Not only did I almost never see her when I scheduled exams the few times I saw her after my appointments with student doctors, visiting clinicians, and NPs she gave me ill advised home remedies. She is the same doctor who tried to scare me off of taking my thyroid meds, tried to force me onto cholesterol medication that had a history of making me sick (going so far as to phone it in to my pharmacy after I repeatedly and adamantly declined and had to report her for that to the medical board), and she was the last doctor to not order sufficient testing on clearly diseased gyno swabs. Nothing beats finding you have cancer stage 3 like a doctor telling you "well you were too young so I tested for stds " (even though I was celibate and my 4 previous sti tests had no positive while my system got worse). Incompetent would be a kind description.

Zero stars if I could. Stay away from this Doctors office. They do not care about your health and do not have your best interest in mind. Horrible experience with Dr.Iskander and her staff.

You go to her dying and she won’t see you, she would send some nurse practitioners who don’t know what they’re doing

You will have to wait almost 2 weeks to get an appointment. And when you get there you may have a longer than average wait time. It really depends, sometimes you wait a long time sometimes you don't. The nurse practitioners are great, they listen to you and try to get you what you need. I prefer to see them instead of Dr. Iskander. The office staff tries but they fall short of providing comfort when you call in with health concerns. They are not helpful conveying messages to and from the doctor. Lastly, why did the staff ask me if my labs results were normal. Shouldn't they know?!!

My Wife Haily Kwok has been raving about Dr. Iskander and all of the staff! Specifically Maria who is in charge of referrals. Maria has gone above and beyond any person we have known in the medical field. Maria is caring, extremely comforting and very very knowledgeable! Maria is a very sweet person and the office is very lucky to have her as their staff. Her follow up practice is on spot and Dr. Iskander also calls back in person very promptly. The rest of the staff needs recognition as well.... lizzette. Heidi, and of course the ladies working reception. Great job the compete staff and we will continue to be taking our health issues for them to care for Us.

My insurance had called the clinic first to ask what imaging clinic they use and we were told that it was Hill imaging. When I arrived from my appointment a medical student interviewed me and I have a lot of health concerns and it seemed like she was getting overwhelmed. My appointment was at 9:00 and at 11:00 a.m. is when I can hear medical students and the doctor talking about my personal medical history in the hallway for everyone to hear. I kindly open the door and ask them if they were going to discuss my medical records to come in the room and the doctor brushed it off and said nobody could hear and I said yes you can, I'm in the room with the door closed and I can hear everything you're saying about me. Prior to that in those two hours I heard the medical assistant interviewing incoming patients and let's just say I knew one wanted a refill of her birth control, the other one refused to pap smear and the other one didn't want to breast exam besides other personal things that I was hearing.Dr ishkadar totally violated HIPAA laws and turned around and reported me to my medical group that I was being unkind. I believe she did this thinking that I would report her first for violating my medical history and HIPAA laws. I highly would not recommend this doctor unless you don't care about your medical privacy. After 2 hours of waiting and having to tell the doctor not to discuss my medical history in the hallway is when the visit totally went downhill because she became rude and unfriendly with me to the point where I asked for my medical records back and said I was going to find another doctor. This was totally waste of my time and gas and work pay.

Dr. Iskander accepts new patients but is not able to meet with them!!! You are seen by a nurse practitioner not by the doctor herself!!! They charge my insurance company for a doctor visit but the appointment is to see a nurse and not a doctor.

Zero stars if I could. Stay away from this office. The Doctor is not helpful at all and does not have your best interest in mind. The Doctor does not even see you and the nurses are not helpful at all either. Worst experience I have ever had at a Doctors office.

So far I'm very impressed with the doctor's office. I've had the same doctor for over 30 years, so I was very uncomfortable coming to a new doctor. The office staff made me feel very comfortable right away. Quick shout-out to the fabulous Maria who answered all my questions always calls back, I mean she's an absolute Pro when it comes to all my paperwork. I even had the doctor call me on a Sunday to make sure I was okay. As a senior citizen, it was a relief to be so well taken care of.

I was a little nervous based on some of the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised with my first visit. Everyone was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
