I would never do business with them again. The alarm monitoring services monthly quote was very competitive, however, they will charge you a ridiculous amount for any service request. They will also add fictitious charges upon leaving them. Do yourself a favor and do not use them.

We’ve been Loan Star customers for decades! They service all three of my families businesses and my home. They’ve been wonderful attentive and super responsive with billing, service, alarms going off etc. Bruce, Rich, and the dispatch personnel have always done an amazing job. Thank youuuuu

I've been a customer of Lone Star for over 15 years. They have provided alarm install and monitoring at three different homes, and are currently providing monitoring services for my home, my mother's home and a rental property.I initially started using this company because of the price. Their monthly monitoring services are significantly less than other security companies.They have installed alarm systems (hard wired) in at least four different homes, and I have happy with the service and pricing. Rich is very thorough with his installs and does a great job.Anytime I've had an issue, problem or question, I've called Rick in the office and he's always been able to resolve the situation.The other security companies may have a fancier presentation, but they'll charge more for installation and monitoring fees.I'll continue using Lone Star until I'm able to escape and move out of this State.

Upon seeing my negative review, the Regional Manager, Bruce Boyer, sent an email threatening me with legal action. Apparently, he doesn't understand either the First Amendment nor social media. The company continues to refuse to return monies paid in advance for services not received, and demands to have "their" equipment returned. They were fired for incompetence, and inability to get my alarm to work properly--something my new company did in an hour visit. They continue to fail to provide any basis as to how and why they are justified in keeping my advance payment for a year of monitoring, when I fired them. They think you are forced to continue to be their customer. I am being forced to seek legal redress.

RUN, don't walk, away from using this company. They have been conducting themselves in very suspicious ways for months, maybe years, with us and we're finally onto them with the help of investigators. If you end of signing up with them, be sure you are clear up front about their cancelation policies -- as in, get it in writing, like we fortunately have -- otherwise they may attempt to instruct you to follow cancellation policies that don't exist in effort to try to keep you on the hook for billing. Nice in the beginning then vicious when you have a problem. Folks, check all the reviews on multiple platforms and decide for yourself.The following was messaged to me after this posted (keeping it all transparent--you be the judge).

Scam company he’s trying to sue me and I’m not the business owner nor never had a business in my name. Very money hungry no moral having owner. I’m sure he spends more time in court than he does running his business.

We decided to go with Lone Star Alarm to install and service our hardwired security cameras at our house. After initial emails and a call with Bruce, we set up a meeting to review our needs at our house. Throughout the entire process, Bruce was prompt in replying and always very helpful and gave us great customer service.When his team arrived to complete the install, the work was also completed professionally. The team of three wore masks and shoe covers when inside the house. They were very courteous and explained everything they were doing prior to doing the work. I was really impressed by the job from start to finish. I'd recommend Bruce and Lone Star Alarm Monitoring.

Been doing business with Bruce since 1987 I was his distributor of all his alarm products and CC TV until 2007 over the past eight years I have been affiliated with With Lonestar and Bruce specifically switching accounts over from larger companies that are not as hands-on my clients are happy and I am confident that Lonestar cares about keeping people secure and building their clientele which they have done for over 25 years.

Been doing business with Bruce and Lone Star Since 1987 he has manage to build a very respectable local business he cares about his clients he offers the very best pricing and does not do credit checks I started in distribution selling him his products through his previous alarm company that sold out when he started Lone Star security he became successful overnight and has continued I am now an agent for his company and I have complete confidence that Lonestar is here for the long term and He stays focused on being innovative and creating solutions to security issues for both residential and commercial and I highly recommend lonestar to do anybody's Monitoring Over some of the bigger competitors such as ADT or Monitronics.

I don't think I even need to add more negative reviews as it seems everyone knows how terrible this company is. I spoke with Bruce, who is either the owner or manager. It was a Mr. Jekly and Mr. Hyde experience. When I was sold the alarm system he was very professional and nice. When I ended the contract after 1 year of service, and we were trying to return the equipment, his demeanor changed. I have never been yelled at by any one so loudly since my last drill seargent in the Army. He didn't scare me as I know what kind of people yell at customers and I've dealt with worse people than him, but he might scare a lot of other people. I would steer clear of this company. Look at all the reviews....they speak for themselves.

This company is awful and Bruce is a disgusting waste of a person. Stay away from these thieves. They will absolutely burn you and charge you you for stuff that doesn't make any sense long after you remove their garbage system. Beware.

**Lone Star sent a possible COVID POSITIVE person to my house** They were never the best company and would charge $50 to come replace a battery, but I didn't have much of an opinion. BUT we had a major malfunction with our system where the cellular receiver stopped working. No call to alert us that the system wasn't connected any more. I had to call THEM when my panel wouldn't stop chirping. They scheduled someone to come out, he shows up then gets back into his car and drives away at 50mph in a residential neighborhood. When we called to report this bizarre behavior we found out the tech might have been COVID POSITIVE!!!! He was waiting on test results AND STILL CAME TO OUR HOUSE! Shame on Lone Star for putting their workers under such conditions. Do yourself a favor and buy a box kit you can set up yourself and avoid having anyone from this company in your house. It is not worth the risk

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They over charged us and they have the worstCustomer service. Norma Andrade has no manners when speaking to customers. Billing has been a nightmare, the alarm doesn’t work and they over charge us every time they come and fix nothing.Really bad experience, I do not recommend this company to anyone.

In my opinion this the worst alarm system company I have dealt with by far. They would create malfunctions in the system just to charge bills in which they wouldn't give any explanations too. Their staff is the worse to deal with as they seem to not have any professionalism. They would create many problems in the system of my church to over charge with unnecessary bills. It's a frustrating company to work with as they tend to avoid working on broken system they themselves caused. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
