The worst 2nd street out of all 2nd streets! The smell as soon as you get inside hits you right away. These depop sellers don’t use deodorant and that should be a crime plus the upcharges on their super ripped jeans they be selling. PLEASE PUT UP A SIGN that you MUST wear deodorant before entering the store! Also clothing are eh not much variety and store is super small.

First time going to a thrift store and wanted to see what quote I could get for 4 new sneakers and three pieces of clothing. I arrived and was greeted by armed security . He acknowledged me and actually engaged more than staff. NO LARGE BAGS allowed , security will hold them and give you a plastic wrist band till you’re done shopping. I was told the wait would be 30 minutes to an hour and two other orders ahead of me. My actual wait time was an hour and a half and I stayed for majority of that time . The store was mildly busy when I arrived. With at least 12 people shopping. For the most part staff seem to enjoy their job but lack customer awareness and talk among themselves behind the counter than engage with customers. I observed over the counter as they researched prices from eBay and StockX . My quote was very low ($200), honestly I would have sold everything. for 300 . Glad I know now to never return cause I hate to wait my time and theirs lol. I give two stars due to lack of customer, service and awareness and the quoted price is a rip off.

A valuable Japanese thrift shop. Since we buy and sell locally, we also have sneakers that are not sold in Japan.
Please be careful as you are not allowed to bring large bags and will be asked to put them in the cloakroom.

The worst! The employees are rude! Especially the tall guy with dark hair. I believe he’s a manager or something. I often scout for pieces in the city - Haight Street. I’ve been in this store and everytime, it’s the same horrific experience with staffs attitude. They barely know the items they are selling and have an attitude like they created the garments. I just walk to Wasteland for better quality creative staffs.

I mainly sell to 2nd Street so this review will be based solely on my selling experience. I’ve been selling to this location for a year or 2 now and I have to say that 2nd Street is probably the best shop to sell higher end and in-demand items. They’ve always been fair with pricing/payouts and will even give you +10% if you sign up for their email marketing list. Buying staff is super chill and always take their time to research and price your items. I used to sell to Wasteland mainly but stopped because the senior buyers I used to sell to were no longer there.

Selling here is a scam don’t bother.A small pile that costs hundreds retail and they offered $1 for everything. Cant even buy a pack of gum for that, a complete slap in the face.No transparency of their buying system on their website either. Most places offer 30% of their retail, unless everything in that store costs 50 cents, they’re scamming sellers.

My recent visit to 2nd Street left me deeply disappointed due to an incident involving the security personnel. However, I would like to acknowledge the positive experience I had with the young queer youth who work at the store. They were exceptionally polite, provided excellent service as sellers, and deserve recognition for their professionalism.Unfortunately, the encounter with the security guard overshadowed the positive aspects of my visit. The security guard falsely accused me of theft, despite the fact that I had just made a purchase at a neighboring store and had no intention or reason to steal anything. Their belligerent behavior, including shouting and cursing, was completely uncalled for. Even as I left the premises, the security guard continued to follow me, displaying a complete lack of observational and critical thinking skills. As a San Francisco native, it is disheartening to see a business like 2nd Street employ such an embarrassing and incompetent individual for a position of authority. The actions of this security guard were a clear violation of their job responsibilities and showcased a severe lack of professionalism and respect.I did report the incident to 2nd Street, but regrettably, no visible action was taken. It is my hope that businesses in our community prioritize the hiring and training of security personnel who can maintain a safe and respectful environment for all customers.Despite the negative encounter, I want to express my gratitude to the young queer youth at 2nd Street who provided me with excellent service as Buyers. Their politeness and professionalism were commendable, and their efforts were greatly appreciated. In conclusion, while the service from the young queer staff members was outstanding, the behavior of the security guard was highly disappointing. I urge 2nd Street to address this issue seriously and take measures to ensure such incidents are not repeated in the future.Sincerely,Tiaga Nidhan

My favorite thrift store we visited in this area. It was clean, spacious, and stocked as we were shopping. They have regularly priced items as well as high end items on the walls/in locked cabinets. The carry men’s & women’s wear along with accessories. They also do consignment but we hadn’t tried it out. We got a sweatshirt, tshirt, cardigan, and adidas hoodie for a steal!

They got many pretty stuffs and price was reasonable. But one of the female worker gave me very uncomfortable experience. She keep put clothes in the hanger while i was looking clothes without telling me anything. I cant even looking for clothes. It was 3 times row.If she tell me like “excuse me or sorry” i would 100% understand cuz she is worker. But the way she showed me felt very rude for me.One of the bad experience while traveling in SF

Came here a few days to unload a portion of my wardrobe. I like the store and its layout. It can feel cluttered, but it's because there's a lot to go through, which makes it a part of the treasure hunt. The hang the very best of the best on the walls. It took a good hour to go through 20 of my items, and 19 were accepted for several hundred dollars. I had a mix of designers and contemporary that again no longer served my fit or style. The manager Soren did my buy and he showed me an itemized list of everything which you don't get at other places, just the total. The hour gave me a chance to walk around Haight and shop the store, which I found a Billy Reid Made in Italy plaid wool grey blazer for $5!I will definitely return and make it a staple to visit when I'm in the neighborhood as well as sell. The customer service is great, and the staff is stylish and kind. It's worth a visit and the hunt for cool fashion pieces.
