Our Italian waiter explained all menu items graciously and was charmed by our teenaged girls. There were many surprises and delights throughout the meal. The prix fixe experience will take a few hours but they will be unforgettable. The dishes were generally Northern Italian modern cuisine. Fresh and delicious throughout.

Absolutely stunning restaurant. Don't sleep on this amazing place. Food was so well thought out and compelling. Balanced and perfectly executed. Service was so warm and kind and such great descriptions. Pairings were amazing, and that is very rare. Raphael was amazing.Such an all-around experience.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The food was extremely delicious, well executed, beautiful, and served at the perfect temperature. My highlights were the signature rigatoni, quail, lobster, caviar course, and the desserts! The service was beyond exceptional as well. Everyone not only cared for me impeccably, they had great energy between each other. This gives way to a wonderful experience that leaves you wanting to go back.Lastly, the wine pairings! Most of my experiences with wine pairings are not meaningful and don't actually pair well with the dish.Raphael was not only an extremely knowledgeable and professional sommelier. He loves wine! I found most of all the wines paired incredibly well and he explained not only the bottle but WHY the pairing worked.Incredible nightLiterally can't wait to go back.

This is an old review, visited in Feb 2019, heavyset drunk woman vomitted at table next to us several times. She should have been asked to leave. We had to ask to be moved they staff just kind of ignored us, it ruined the meal. Not their fault the lady vomited, but they could have moved us sooner or did something to make the situation better like escorting her out or at least clean up the mess sooner. Felt like I was at a Denny’s at 2am level of service.

A restaurant that knows how to properly grill wagyu. The menu is well-organized, perfect for taste, service, plating, wine, and dessert. If you ask about wine, the sommelier will kindly explain along with objective information and his/her own interpretation.

My wife and I had dinner here last evening and it was truly an experience to remember. We had The Chef's Tasting Experience and it far exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere and beauty of the restaurant is impeccable. The Tasting Menu was 7 courses. We added Beluga Caviar. Each course was a work of Art. The sensory flavors of each course were Amazing throughout. We didn't have wine pairing but my wife enjoyed two fine wines from the pairing menu and the Northern Italian wines are Superb. Truly an Experience to Remember. The Staff is so personable and knowledgeable it complemented the Two Star Michelin Award. I would highly recommend having dinner here if you are looking to experience one of The Finest Italian Restaurants. Acquerello is a Treasure. Thank you for a Memorable Experience.

Alas one of the last hold outs of elegance in SF has fallen. Call me an old foggy but when I spend $500+ for dinner for two in a Michelin two star restaurant, I don't want to sit next to a kid in a tee shirt and sweat pants and a girl in short shorts. Vegas, perhaps but not here. Money talks it seems. This is a fabulous restaurant with food that has tastes that surprise and delight. (Except for the duck which was tough and inedible. Odd) Service was superb. Wine list to satisfy any oneophile but with eye-popping prices.Parking garage across the street.

The enchanting atmosphere at Acquerello, coupled with exceptional service, made our dining experience memorable. Our waiter's passionate explanations of each dish, especially their signature ridged pasta, were a highlight. Our three-hour dinner allowed us to appreciate the frequented by locals, where customers and waitstaff share a familiar connection, adding to the charm of this beloved establishment.Parking: I prefer to park in the parking garage across the street, $15 for 3 hours which I think it’s worth it. It’s much safer than park on the street.

Celebrated a birthday. The courses were delightful. Service was great and we really enjoyed the infusion of seasonal food. White and black truffle were great in the dishes. One of us is a vegetarian and they had a full menu to accommodate.

The chef was sweet, humble, and incredibly talented. The waitstaff went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and make this the best experience possible. Each course’s plating was selected to enhance and complement the dish. The Sauvignon blanc was delightful. I hate duck and yet the duck was my favourite dish- phenomenal quality of ingredients. So much textural play, beautiful visuals, calming atmosphere. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday experience for my mother.Vegetarian options: They were able to make a fully vegetarian meal catered to my mothers preferences of less garlic and no eggs either. All of her dishes were beautiful.Dietary restrictions: I cannot have dairy, and they thoughtfully designed a new menu for me with different meats that paired well with dairy-free sauces. The desserts were the best vegan desserts I’ve ever had.

Would have given them 5 stars, food and service was perfect, however, we heard management yelling at the server who did more than amazing.Whatever the issue was before we arrived, should have been taken care of without customer knowledge.Especially being a Michelin rated restaurant.

Each course offers a unique experience with different layers of flavors that complement of each other. If you enjoy wine, the wine paring program is highly recommended. It definitely elevates the dining experience, sharpening your senses of the food you are tasting. On top that, the wine pairing takes you to a tour of Italy by the glass. All the staff are very hospitable and friendly, some have a sense of humor.
