Alta Plaza Park is a scenic, terraced hillside park in the heart of the city. A broad staircase leads to the top, where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the Bay. Alta plaza is one of my favorite areas to walk after grabbing a coffee. This family- and dog-friendly park is spacious, has nice views and allows beautiful sunsets most of the year.

This is a nice, quiet, and very dog friendly park. It's ontop of quite the hill, so you get striking views of San Francisco. It woukd be a great place to have a picnic, or just to have a leisurely stroll through.
