About Amblard Leather Atelier

Heirloom Leathercraft, formerly Amblard Leather Atelier, is San Francisco's destination for mastering the art of French leatherworking. Founded by Hermès-trained master artisan Beatrice Amblard, our four-level curriculum takes students from first saddle stitch to portfolio-ready craftsmanship. Learn the Amblard Method in small cohorts, working with premium European hides, professional-grade tools, and techniques passed down through generations of French leather tradition. We offer weekly sessions, daily intensives, evening workshops, individual instruction, and a 12-week Artisan Training Program. Located on Clement Street in the Inner Richmond.

    I have ordered many handmade bags from this Atelier and I highly recommend them.
    Same leather and craftsmanship as Hermes for a fraction of the cost. I get compliments everywhere I go !! Love this shop and it’s easy to order online.
