The worst experience ever! This American Eagle sucks. I went in to buy a hair clip and the same day it broke so I went the very next day to return it and they wouldn’t take it. Maria the manager did not empathize at all. I’ve never felt more disappointed in my shopping experience. I don’t think I need to be shopping here again if they sell broken products and don’t even honor the return.

Jasmine made me feel like I was having a luxury shopping experience. She made me feel like she was my personal shopper while still showing just as much attention to the other ppl in the dressing room. I hope she becomes a very rich woman bc that’s how she made me feel today.

They charged me 6 times for an item I couldn’t even buy at the end. They refused to reimbursed me. I do not recommend this store, they are not honest.

Definitely a good clothing selection with a lot of different styles of jeans. The only complaint is the consumer service which made it the most uncomfortable shopping experience of my life. Way too many people coming up to me every second asking for my size. They get weirdly offended if you decline the offer for them to put clothes you are thinking about in a random dressing room while you are still shopping around. And lastly a couple associates followed me around the store in the most unnerving way possible. Love the jeans I got tho!

I absolutely hate performing heavy metal songs on my electric guitar in front of your store, but I love to make people smile. I need to represent the real San Francisco community, in public. I am so lucky that management don't call the cops as soon as I get here. I hear your friendly silence, I love you guys for it. You're giving me a hand up, instead of a hand out. Thank you.

Staff is friendly and very helpful. You can even call in advance and speak to a real person in store and they will pre-gather pants for you to try. When I was there they were nice enough to ask what look or feel I was going for and take me around to gather pants to fit that. They seem to have a good knowledge of each pant and how it fits. Don't trust the website for inventory. Things it said it were in stock, weren't, and everything it said wasn't in stock, was. I even went there once with 15 minutes to close, and they still helped me with a smile even when I was there well after closing. That says a lot about their character that they weren't impatient or mean with me even when I was there too late.

The store was advertising a sale for jeans so I went in to take a look. One of the store managers, Veronica, was nice enough to help me figure out my size and brought some jeans over to the dressing room to see which would fit. She knew her stock very well and remembered my preferences. Though I didn't end up getting anything this time, I still appreciated the care, knowledge, and attention of the staff which I have never really encountered at other stores. I didn't feel pressure to get anything. Check the store out if you don't want to figure out your size on your own and if you like personalized attention from knowledgable associates.

Always incredible customer service. The associates are upbeat and always offer to help find additional fits and colors while trying on in the dressing rooms.

The customer service here is incredible. The staff was so friendly and several of them helped me during my time there. They offered to put my clothes in the fitting room and they added a few pieces which they thought I would like. I purchased one of the recommended items as well as a pair of jeans that another staff member suggested I try on.

Reviewing the Aerie store: the in-store stock of bras is super limited. They only have the most basic bras and none of the nice ones I saw on the website. I went twice to get advice about my size for bras I wanted to buy online and the advice was just wrong. Everything I ordered was always too small. They should really just have more of the collection available in the store, even if it's just one per size for trying on so we can order online.

took my 10 year old grandaughter to 865 market had a wonderful shopping experience,however when I got home I noticed I was charged double for a oair of sunglasses at the arie register.My Grandaughter gas since went home,now they want me to come back to the store for an adjustment.OH PLEASE!! THIS CAN BE DONE OVER THE PHONE Terrible customer service,it is not easy for me to Come Back To The Store

I went into the Aerie portion of the store so I cant speak about the American Eagle part of it, but the aerie part of it was AMAZING!!!! They hyped up me and my friends and were super kind and ready to help!! I think the associates names were Zoe and I cant remember the other 3 but they all incited conversation and were super sweet and helpful! not to be creepy but I accidentally eavesdropped on one of the managers helping to train a new girl and she described people who had already been helped as "the girl with the pretty orange flower-y dress" (me) and "the girl in the cute red glasses is her friend!" (my friend). I work in food service and I was amazed at how nice and calm and helpful they were!! thank you for an amazing experience!!

The CA Civil Code is 1749.5 states clearly you can get the balance in cash if you request it for store issued gift cards. I will report them to Consumer Affairs and Forever21 violated this code as well. Clearly the managers need to be trained in retail law. I had $8.00 left in my gift card and requested the cash back. I was told I cannot by the manager and was forced to buy a pair of socks. I have 62 cents left in the card and will suck it up. I'm just glad to be rid of this store and I only shopped here bc I received a gift card I had since '12. The styles are for preteens and very expensive. The Asian cashier was very sweet. It wasn't her fault I had a bad experience at this store.

If you cancel part of someone's order, you should refund the extra shipping they paid in order to expedite the items. I wouldn't have paid for upgraded shipping if it weren't calculated into the cost of the entirety of my purchase. Likely not to order again.
