One of the newest ARC sites in the Bay Area. Staff was friendly and professional. I go to this site to donate platelets and plasma. Never had any issues with my donation or with staff. The only thing I wish they had was a parking lot. The location is on Market St.. which can be a little problematic if you are walking here from downtown.

Experienced and professional staff do the intake paperwork and draw blood. The facility is always clean and the operation seems well organized. This operation seems to provide critically needed blood, plasma, and platelets. I encourage everyone who is eligible to try donating; it is a great experience to know you are helping.

Awesome experience. Staff super professional and caring.Facilities were ideal. Big chairs to lay down and TV full apps to watch whatever you'd like while donating is completedA blanket, snacks, cranberry juice, water and more for donors. But mostly the incredible feeling that you're helping improve the life of people in need of whole blood/ blood components.

Drink lots of water a day or two before donating to make sure you're hydrated!

I was very disappointed in Red Cross a few nights ago someone had burnt down my RB and left me with no place to sleep and all my belongings gone gone I was told that they no longer help people with R v's because my RV wasn't registered I've been struggling by now I've been struggling financially because of an illness and wasn't able to pay my registration . I don't see how that makes a difference on helping someone or not I felt really sad sadden that they couldn't even offer me anything basically made me feel like stum I bought an RV to save money not because I became homeless and now I have nothing and nobody will help because they think you're one of those people that just park and dump your garbage on their lawn I'm not 1 of those people and I'm very disappointed and hurt

You need to check if your work place (hospitals, EMS) recognizes the CPR license from Red Cross BEFORE registering! I took mine from the Red Cross and my workplace rejected it. They want one from AHA. That was $70 and 3 hours down the drain. I asked my Red Cross instructor if the certification is accepted and she gave me a vague. "Why not "? That should had clued me in. FYI , the Red Cross CPR certification USED to be acceptable (as I later learned ) for some reason it is no longer accepted by some hospitals.

From volunteers to medical personnel to security, everyone working here is conscientious, professional and friendly. It's a great place to give blood during plague times too: it's a huge room so although you're indoors with others for a good while I feel the spacing and air circulation (on top of the other safety measures) make things as safe as can be.Minus one star because they are having trouble staying well staffed these days, but they were training folks today which should decrease the wait times in the future.

Although I support giving blood I really disagree with how they handle appointments. They don't stick to the time at all. Someone who's appt was after me was helped before me because she got there first even though I was there on time. But after that the staff was knowledgeable and kind.

It's always a wait, even with an appointment. It's a good cause, or I would not bother.
