We’re a family of 4 and stayed at the argonaut for a few night visiting San Francisco in august. Overall, we had a very good experience. The beds are comfortable, the double quin room we got was roomy and the room had a nice design (but the view was practically not relevant). The hotel location is excellent with many cafes and restaurants around and the hotel staff was very accommodating and very helpful. We recommend this hotel.

What an amazing hotel, it is beautiful in a great location. We had our dog with us and the staff went above and beyond for my mother, myself and our dog! Thank you Ruben, Angel and Steven for your hospitality. We will be staying there everytime we visit San Francisco!

Excellent location to Fisherman’s Wharf, pier 39 with amazing views of the Golden Gate. This hotel was perfect. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean with a nautical theme. Super views. Walking distance to the harbour, and trams right outside to take you to Union Square. We had breakfast here too which was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel! We had a fantastic bay view. I loved the cool breeze and the sound of the boats tugging by. The room was clean and comfy. We have great meals at the Blue Mermaid and our breakfast server Edgar was so friendly and charming. The parking valet Domingo was also great and went above and beyond! We will be back again, hopefully soon! Thank you Argonaut staff!

Nice hotel and helpful reception staff. Overall we had a nice stay and the hotel is walkable to most tourist sites and accessible to transit. I'm going to detail some of the downsides for transparency. The room didn't have some amenities you'd expect from a 4-star hotel in a major city, like bathrobes or a hot water kettle. Also there was no full-length mirror-- just a round mirror right at the end of the bed with about a foot of clearance between bed and wall. Intended to match the nautical theme. Seemed like a bit of style over substance. Housekeeping was so-so: the day we arrived one of the bottles of Evian (not complimentary) was open and half drunk. Also, coffee station was not refreshed on our second day, which is a bigger deal when there's no complimentary coffee available elsewhere in the hotel.

Modern hotel in a great location. Very good sized rooms. Staff are brilliant. Attached restaurant is worth a visit, but there are some fantastic restaurants within walking distance. Lots to see and do in this area. Felt very safe at all times.
We could hear some music from outside in our room on the 2nd floor but this stopped at around 10.40pm. Would absolutely stay here again.

I hold the rating platinum for life with Marriott after staying 60 days a year for 10 years with Marriott. This hotel is right up there with the top Marriotts I have stayed in.

Doorman was rude and curt (yikes!) to us when addressing a simple misunderstanding about parking. Employees were talking past me when I was standing right in front of them (yikes!!) as if I wasn’t there.
I didn’t have an issue with the parking rules once informed but am very disappointed in the staff’s abrasive approach to rectify it.

Very nice location buy the water. A lot of tourists in the area, by it made for a good energy in the hotel. Rooms were nice and clean. Pleasant staff that was helpful.

It’s super dog friendly and I especially loved the welcome sign that included dogs staying at the hotel.
There is lots of comfortable seating in the lobby to wait or socialize. The shared common areas, elevators, and hallways were very clean and smelled nice.
The front desk was able to provide free basic toiletries that I had forgotten. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly.
I would happily stay here on my next trip back to San Francisco.

Overall, this was a great experience. I’ve been to SF plenty of times before, and staying here was a real treat. The amenities were excellent, and the on-site restaurant was fantastic.
All the staff members I encountered were professional, friendly, and helpful—from the valet and host to the server and the bellhop who brought items to our room.
Unfortunately, the only downside of the stay was the TV in the room. For a room at about $700 a night, the TV was glitchy, the remote often didn’t work properly, and it wasn’t a true smart TV—Netflix was the only streaming option. For a hotel at this price point, it would be nice to have a modern, up-to-date TV setup.
Aside from that, this was a fantastic stay, and I’d happily return.
