There is a Nicaraguan guy who is the manager. He doesn't respect the customers, he feels like he owns the store.

The guy on the phone didn't know anything about paints. I was asking him for the one coat paint he said he had no idea what I was talking about. Terrible store!

This place is an excuse, and the customer service is some of the worst I've ever received at *any* business. Our painter was able to slot us in last minute after the sale of our new home went through quickly, and asked us to head to a Benjamin Moore store to pick out samples and get a few paint drawdowns. Whoever was working yesterday (03/19, also the only employee working around 2:15-2:30) deserves to be fired. He picked a fight with the customer in front of us who told him that the paint he was picking up wasn't the correct code, and asked for him to double check it. He refused and said the codes change from the exact same paint he previously purchased. He kept telling him "we close in 5 minutes" and that he shouldn't come back later if there was anything wrong with his paint. We picked three colors we like for our new place and asked if we could get drawdowns. We even told him we understood the store closed soon and that they weren't open on Sundays, so we weren't expecting them on the spot. He told us on a Saturday afternoon he wouldn't have three drawdowns ready until *Wednesday*, and couldn't give us an answer to why Monday or Tuesday wasn't possible. For those who don't know, a drawdown is essentially a thick line of paint drawn down a long piece of card stock to hold up against your current walls to give you a better sense for the color, which is better than the small paint chip samples that you can take. When we told him our painter needed us to lock in colors sooner than Wednesday, he said, "That's not my problem." I was left absolutely speechless... He then proceeded to tell us "You should have come in earlier." I'm sorry... you close at 3 PM on a Saturday, and most of the population works M-F when you're open from 7-5, and closing at 3 PM on a Saturday is absurd. Believe it or not, I have more going on in my life than picking up paint samples, and I was in your store before you closed, so drop the attitude. If you're so miserable at your job, quit. Pretty simple. We left with our paint chip samples and got in the car and called the Benjamin Moore store on Geary, who are open until 5 on Saturday. They took the paint code numbers over the phone and asked us to come pick up the draw downs on Monday. They were so polite and professional, so we're taking our business there, even though it's across the city. We were in the store for 45 minutes and didn't "just show up" right before closing. Save yourself the time and energy and don't support this store. For the owner: Please don't reach out to me trying to "make this right". You all have done enough damage.

Terrible experience. Avoid this store. My wife and I drove across town to this store on Saturday, February 19, 2022 to buy paint and supplies. We knew exactly what we needed (one can of paint and a couple of rollers), and we arrived five minutes before closing. The store employee refused to sell anything to us. He had already removed the cash drawer from the till and shut down the system so he could go home early. Even though the store was supposed to be open for another five minutes and the door was open, he refused to make a sale to us. He was incredibly rude and dismissive to us. We asked if he could refer us to another store, and he told us no because according to him “they all close at the same time”. My wide and I were shocked by this man’s behavior. We have never been treated so poorly at a store. The happy ending to the story, however, is that we ended up finding a different, absolutely fantastic paint store: House of Color on 24th Street. We were able to buy what we needed from that store, and the service was excellent. And we were in and out in about five minutes. We will buy all our paint supplies from them going forward.

This is the paint store I usually go to because they carry C2 paint, but I won't be going back. One of my walls (painted with C2 Artichoke Heart) needed some touch-ups, so I went to get some paint. The quart they mixed for me was labeled with "Artichoke Heart" but the wrong paint was inside. It was nowhere near the color of what's on my walls, or the color chip. No big deal. Mistakes happen. And I headed back to this store to get the correct color. I shared this photo with the guy working the register and he argued with me, which was unexpected, and said he didn't have time for me and went to help the next customer. I asked him he why he was giving me a hard time when the error was on their side and he just ignored me. So I gave up on getting the correct paint and asked for a refund. It'll be inconvenient to get C2 paint in the future (I think they might be the only store in SF that carries it) but I'll figure it out. I'm not willing to go to this store again.

I love this place. Not only do they do an impeccable job pain matching, the people who work there are super kind. Mariano helped me load a heavy chair into my car! And there's never a long wait.

Went in today for some paint. I don't know much about paint. I was lucky that Miles helped me. He was very friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. Miles chose an excellent custom grey paint for my bedroom. I couldn't be more happier. Thanks Miles!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - DO NOT SHOP HERE! There is a reason why other paint stores in SF have full star reviews. I called ahead to order paint and when I picked it up, I was not only handed a Gallon of paint that I did not order, but was also told I had to pay for it. The Manager, Mike, said he wrote down exactly what I was handed, therefore, it was the correct order ("If I wrote it down, it is correct"). When I explained that there was no way I would order ceiling paint for a wall, he would not even listen to me, just kept repeating that he was right. He then told me I had to pay or else I would be unable to buy the rest of the paint I needed. There was no "I am sorry," or "hey, maybe this was a misunderstanding" (which I would have been able to accept). I would have walked out, but am in a hurry, due to a move. Being forced to pay $70 for the wrong paint feels like extortion and I have a hard time believing that it was in fact the Manager I was speaking to here (how could management be so rude and provide such awful customer service)?I may be moving, but I am not moving away from SF and while I have purchased paint here many times throughout the last 10 years, I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP AT THIS PAINT STORE AGAIN. Save yourself the agony and poor behavior and go to one of the many other stores. You will be glad you did.
