Bi-Rite may be another victim of the rating hyperinflation pandemic in San Francisco. It’s just pretty good. The flavours are certainly there; the sesame and the coffee toffee are great, and they have a deep repertoire of other flavours to try.But when it comes down to it, it’s just another ice cream place; neither the milk base nor the depth of flavours wow me so much that I think it’s worth a 4.6.One thing is that the banana topping was a nice and original surprise.Worth the short wait and its price? Maybe.

Great spot to grab ice cream next to Dolo and friendly service, but ice cream is inconsistent in texture. It's a solid place to grab classic flavors like cookies and cream, or slightly more unique flavors like saffron. Sadly, the past two times I've come here, the ice cream texture has been not great and too icy. It had great flavor but the texture of ice cream was like it was left in the freezer too long and kept breaking apart when I tried to scoop it up. I really enjoyed Bi-Rite when I first moved to SF, but there are a lot of great ice cream spots in the Mission (Smitten, Garden Creamery, Humphrey Slocumbe) and ice cream adjacent places (Bernie Bee's, buttercup, La Copa Loca) that I'd recommend to friends instead. They're also all within a ~10 minute walk. However, the upside is that there was no wait at Bi-Rite on a Friday night than compared to Garden Creamery a few blocks away which had a line down the block. If you want to grab a quick, solid ice cream, Bi-Rite is still a great option. I also like to purchase their salted caramel in a jar for making coffee drinks at home.

Creative flavors that are delicious. The saffron/jaggery and black sesame was one of the best ice cream combos I have had in a while. The workers are also always super kind and generous with samples.

Delicious and unique flavors with great customer service. I really enjoyed their large selection of ice cream that has a mix of your traditional flavors and the more unique ones. It's so difficult to find ice cream shops that serve anything besides tooth achingly sweet or plainly boring flavors, so I appreciated Bi-Rite's ability to make ice cream flavors that are not only delicious, fluffy, and light, but also not too sweet. Despite the longer wait, the employees were patient and would provide samples.

Bi-Rite Creamery is a popular ice cream shop just steps away from Dolores Park. There wasn't a huge line when we went after lunch, and we got a buffalo milk soft serve, along with a small cup of black sesame and orange-cardamom ice cream. The buffalo milk soft serve was creamy, but nothing really to write home about. The black sesame packed a punch, but I especially enjoyed the orange-cardamom, which was so fragrant and floral-- it wasn't too creamy and was closer to a sherbet consistency, but very refreshing and delicious. Bi-Rite Creamery is a solid place for ice cream while in town!

My new favorite ice cream flavor ever- Orange Cardamom. The server seemed excited when I ordered it! It must be good. Filled up the rest of my cup with Saffron Jaggery Caramel, also to die for. Yum. Nearly worth the 92 dollar parking ticket I got. Oh, well....

I was super excited to try this place out because it sells buffalo milk soft serve! I've tried this at a restaurant in LA and was obsessed. The soft serve was good. Creamy and light. However, when I got my soft serve, an employee let me know that the soft serve was not actually buffalo milk but bison milk which got me confused. Not sure if the store advertised incorrectly but, the soft serve brand that is listed on their menu is supposed to be sourced from water buffalo. My friends got the regular ice cream scoops and they loved the fun flavors and unique texture. The vibe was a cute shop near dolores park.

The icecream lives up to its hype! There were plenty of different flavors to choose from and you're able to try it all! The worker was friendly and patient when helping me select the right flavors for me. The took the time to explain the different flavors and the seasonal ones as well. The ambience was great, something you'll typically get from a local ice cream shop! I ended up getting the roasted banana, black sesame, and saffron jaggery caramel crunch. Unfortunately the Saffron was my favorite but it was a collaboration with another chef so it will not stay in the menu. The parking is horrible as always in the bay. There's only street parking and you'll need to make sure that you look at all the signs twice to avoid any tickets.

3.5/5 for me Right next to Dolores park, so prices here are definitely on the higher end. Line went by quick, and we got to sample a couple flavors without feeling rushed about it. I got the coffee toffee and crème brûlée. No real complaints about the ice cream, it didn't blow me away but I enjoyed it. I thought the options of flavors were decent, but I prefer Garden Creamery nearby. As a FYI, the employee made it a point to let my friend know the buffalo milk soft serve is actually bison milk if that makes a difference to anyone who wanted to try it LOL

It was good ice cream, but nothing crazy in my opinion. Good ice cream spot if you're nearby and have a craving for ice cream. Just your average homemade ice cream shop with great flavors with $6-7 for a single scoop (comes with two flavors)

Extremely tasty ice cream and friendly staff. I wanted to go back for another cone! Can't wait until I'm able to visit San Francisco again to experience this deliciousness again.

I was craving a soft serve while in the area and this place definitely satisfied that! The soft serve was creamy and had a great flavor of both chocolate and vanila since I got it as a swirl. You also have a choice between a cake and waffle cone. The soft serve is $6 and I believe a waffle cone is an extra $1.25. Indoor and outdoor walls are colorful and fits the ambiance of an ice cream shop. They also have a variety of fun flavors to choose from. Parking is difficult is you're driving to the location, but we were able to find street parking after circling around a bit.
