My new find and favorite store while visiting SF! Emily was able to help me find the perfect shade and colors for the makeup brand Ogee I had been seeing so much about. I appreciate her help and love the store’s high quality brands.

This review for Laurel Village store. You have lost my business and I have shopped there since the day you opened. The sales person on June4 around 10:30 was rude and not helpful.I don’t have her name but she was on the heavier side and was unkempt looking which was a real turn off for a shopper to experience.

Great environment, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Didn't make me feel like I shouldn't be there because they are pretty expensive. The Berkeley location is hands down my favorite Bluemercury store.

Wonderfull customer service! As someone who is very new to skincare products and was unsure what kind of products might be right for my skin Shanice and Jo Jo made sure to explain everything to me at length and made me feel welcome . I implore you, if you like me are new to skincare and are looking for a good place to start, just ask for either one of them and I'm sure they will hook you up:)

The differentiator for BlueMercury from Sephora is their AMAZING customer service. They usually employ people who are just really well-trained and provide a higher level of service, transcending to relationship, with local clients. I used to love this location as that relationship feel is what I’d experienced - to the point that, last year, when I really wanted an out of stock perfume, they took my number and called me weeks later when it was in stock to come grab it. They even called me personally to let me know I had a $40 reward expiring and then honored the gift 2 days past expiration. Point is: they were amazing at managing customer loyalty.
However, the last few months have been rough for this location. They’re consistently changing their hours and not updating their website or Google, they’re consistently out of stock of popular items, they no longer offer the amazing samples and perks, and IMO the customer relationship feel isn’t there anymore. When I went in today, I was the only customer in the store with one associate who barely greeted me and didn’t offer help because….she was too busy hanging out with her boyfriend. This was a rare time that I actually needed help with choosing a product too. :-(
I primarily go here for Oribe products and the local hair salons sell enough of those that if BM is no longer offering the personalized feel of their shop, then I don’t need to come back.

If Joy was replaced by some kind of a a robot tomorrow, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference in terms of 'customer service'. At least the robot wouldn't be acting like a used car salesman on commission and would sell me what's better for my pocket and not hers.
