Really friendly service! Great selection--and they can order any book I want and get it very quickly. (A particularly great selection of kids books, but I also get a lot of literary books here too.) Free parking out back. Just an all-around great independent bookstore!

One of my favorite bookstores just because they offer a lot of sale books in different genres. There are some excellent hardcover cookbooks, bios, fiction, nonfiction, etc. on discount. The cookbooks, for example, are the ones that are famous and quite a few are those one can't buy in person at the chain bookstores. Plus the chain bookstores do not have these on discount ever. Also staff at this branch are really friendly, helpful.

Books inc is one of my favorite book stores I’ve ever been too! (And trust me, I’ve been to a lot). The store has a wide variety of books for all ages. There are also different kind of books such as comic books, chapter books, etc. Not only are there different books, there are also toys, notebooks, stationary, and lots of other things. The whole place gives off a cozy vibe and makes you feel at home. One of my favorite parts about this book store is that there are book clubs, events where you can meet authors, and much more! The store is located in Laurel Village so after I go shopping for my books, I can easily get a snack. If you are looking for a nice book store, come visit this place!

Good selection, and there are cards with comments about some of the books, which helped me pick a new book quickly.

I go there primarily for great birthday cards. If you're tired of Hallmark, Papyrus, and main stream cards, this is a place to check out. Oh lol my partner loves going to this friendly neighborhood bookstore for ? books.

Great selection of books, and wonderful staff! My 3yo lives reading, and they have a great kid's book section. They always have a nice seasonal selection of books. Staff always makes good suggestions when asked. And if they don't carry something in particular, they'll find it and order it for you!

The staff was very helpful recommending children's books for shy or introverted personalities. They even transferred in a couple they liked but weren't in stock, so I could browse them all before purchasing

This book store is the oldest bookstore in San Francisco yet it was very modern and had a great vibe to the store. It had many types of books with different subjects and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I very much recommend this book store - book stores in general is a dying breed and we must support our local book store.!

There's a great selection of books for kids and they always have books on sale. The staff's written recommendations are posted on the shelves and we found them really helpful when looking for new authors. During COVID, they are limiting the number of shoppers allowed into the store at one time and providing hand sanitizer. We felt that there was plenty of space for shopping at a safe social distance and we did not feel rushed. And there is parking available if the store isn't within walking distance for you.

I just tuned in to a Zoom chat with Dan Rather who spoke about the re-issue of his 2017 book "What Unites Us". This event organized by the American Booksellers Association was delightful. The online audience had the chance to direct questions (which were chosen by upvoting) to this amazing journalist (60 years in service before retirement) and hear his thoughts on media practices, teaching civics in school, divisiveness in America and more. Indie bookstores are sure adding value in new ways! It is challenging for all small businesses, but for the small booksellers that specter of e-books and online book sales is cutting off their life's blood. Let's not abandon our neighborhood bookshops. I just bought a hardcover book at Books Inc Laurel Village just last week. A treat for me. Looking forward to buying more good reads in the near future.
