Amazing experience and fantastic attention to detail from the staff.Gregory helped me make selections for all courses and found the perfect wine to accompany my meal.Highly recommend adding the bread plate. It seems simple, but it had the perfect contrast of soft pillowy insides with toasted crisp crust. The butter used was so creamy and complimented it perfectly. The Adventurous appetizer was a fun and quite different opener to the meal. It definitely could have served 2-3 people so I was quite stuffed by the time I got to the end. I enjoyed the opportunity to guess what I was eating. It was so good and I was definitely surprised by what it was! While I’m not usually a fan of French onion soup, theirs was incredible. The cheese was complimentary instead of overwhelming and bread retained its crispiness throughout.I had the Cornish hen with potatoes and mushrooms as a main, and I was impressed with the variety and pairing of the mushrooms to the dish. They were hearty but not overwhelming. Including 5+ types of mushrooms gave a delightful contrast to the rest of the dish. The Chantilly cake had perfectly crispy edges and was the right weight for the end of such a rich meal.

This time the restaurant was a disappointment. It was busy, but the kitchen had time to photograph and post food. I wasn't asked once if everything was okay. I didn't get a spoon with the onion soup. I then took a dessert spoon from the buffet because the waiter kept running past me. This wasn't even noticed. Bread was charged extra. I seasoned the rissotto with my own fleur du sel. My dessert was the wrong one. The wine was ok. All in all, the meal wasn't worth $105 and I only gave a 15% tip - I thought it was too much.

Charming. Pictures don't do this wonderfull bistro/restaurant just. It is an elegant petitite place. After first day private dinner, we changed original reservations elsewhere later in the week, and took some important customers here. They loved it. They loved SF for it. Limited choice but great ingredients turned to great dishes. Staff is welcoming and natural, and they know their french. Value too. Great wine suggestions. Reasonable prices.

Decent spot with decent food. Not mind-blowing though

$55 prix-fixe seems unheard of in San Francisco, so it's a deal no doubt. But you get what you pay for. All of the food was underwhelming and reminiscent of mediocre banquet food. Prefix menus are supposed to bring value to both the business and the customer. This felt early bird special with poorly executed food. Best part of the meal was the wine. I've been a fan of this restaurant for years, and my last experience at brunch was very good. But I might wait a while till I come back for dinner.

Amazing value!!! 3 courses meal for $55. Nothing fancy, but delicious and authentic. What else to ask for, seriously. Love the casual aspect of this little bistro. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable . Similar experience I found in every hole in the wall in Paris!! Loved it. Highly recommend it. Le bistro du coin!!

Came here for a chill dinner with a friend. The interior looks really nice, however the food is just okay. We did a fixe prix menu, and ordered tuna tartar and bread on top. The soup was good, and the monkfish was good too, but it was missing sides. I feel like the dinner wasn't filling enough for me. I wish you could add mashed potatoes, or salad, or vegetables. The deserts were surprisingly bad. The fruit blayage was just pineapple in goowy liquid. Chocolate cream was a bit better. They don't have any drinks except wine and beer, so if you can't drink alcohol you only have water. No coffee or tea to accompany your dessert. Overall, it was OK but I don't think I will return. If it was a romantic dinner occasion, I would be upset.

Fabulous dinner at Bouche! The setting, the food and the service were simply fantastic!! Everyone loved their dishes...tuna and salmon tartare, cauliflower soup, mushroom risotto with black truffle, monk fish and lamb cassoulet! Can't wait to go back!

Randomly found this restaurant. We happened to be downtown. Bouche delivered a fantastic experience. From the warm welcome at the door, to the lovely young french man who served us, to the delicious 3 courses meal ($55, honestly this is a great value for the city)... The place is so quaint, romantic and authentic. Go go go and make a reservation. This gem of a place doesn't receive the attention it deserves

I just moved to the neighborhood with my wife and I decided to make a reservation to try local food. The cauliflower soup .....so creamy... with blue cheese yum. You can tell a French guy is working in the kitchen. The monkfish with chorizo sauce and the confit leeks were just perfect... melting in my mouth. We don't like dessert thanks for the cheese instead. Can't wait to try brunch, highly recommended.

A wonderful taste of northern France! Food was exceptional (price fixe menu of three courses that were all generous portions) plus some fun extras. Server was adorable and super knowledgeable! Highly recommend!

Had a lovely Valentine's dinner at Bouche. Service and staff were wonderful and the atmosphere quaint and delightful.Dinner was a Prix Fix affair which was very good, but couldn't show off the full strength of the kitchen. Included a delicious cauliflower soup, a small simple salad and a very good, if small Lobster Thermador. Desert of a chocolate cake or cheese plate rounded out the dinner with an excellent wine pairing. The seating is tight, but the atmosphere delightful. We will return!
