I dropped in without an appointment and the manager was kind enough to offer a 1:00 appointment the same afternoon. Two hours later I arrived for my 1:00 appointment. The manager was busy with another client and asked the teller to close an account for me. The teller had no idea of what to do nor did he have access to my accounts to make the changes necessary. The Manager failed to offer an apology or even an explanation why she wasn’t able to honor our 1:00 appointment. She couldn’t be bothered and continued with her present client. Unprofessional behavior demonstrated by the manager is why I will not be returning to this branch. She wasted my time .

We had a great experience with Ian who provided us with fantastic assistance in opening an account. He was extremely patient and courteous, taking the time to answer all of our questions. If you want to open an account, this Chase department is a good choice.

We just opened a bank account at Chase bank, Market & 2nd St. The bank officer who contacted and welcomed me to open the new account was Mr. Jun Kim. He explained all the details what we would like to know very well. He also intended to take time for explanation for us. We felt good for his services. His boss, Mr.Eric Holguin was so nice too. He introduced himself and talked with us and my daughter as well. I appreciate for providing impressive service and respect us.

Manager Eric is an a******* don't come to this bank. I deposit my check over the weekend and it stated it was gonna hold my check for four days. I called on Monday and Eric wasn't helping at all he was yelling at me and my friend to step in. When he was for him to spell his name he hung up on us. Oh I live in Oakland and I was in SF for the weekend I called my Oakland location and they're going to help me out and they also written a complaint on my end about Eric. People like Eric are the reasons why I was switched banks I already opened up another bank with patelco if Chase wasn't around the whole world I would not be banking with them because they do not know how to treat customers with loyalty or with simple respect.

I went in there today on Friday,September 10,2021 around 4 o’clock to quickly get information about the CHASE credit card and the teller gives me such a bad look.I get it,my hair were little scattered and dark skin maybe doesn’t meet CHASE customer service standard. She told me to sit on the side instead of sending me to the office. He heard me asking about Credit and came out to assist me but when he was just coming out.The teller girl remove her mask and start passing facial signals to him and start telling him with signs that I’m a fraud. Not just that she look at the guard too and give him a signal. What a pleasant visit was it.Just want to say to the girl that I make way more money than you little chuwawa.

Came here asking about my Private Client benefits, I guess it's private because the banker made up a story and had to visit my primary location to get it taken care of

This branch is efficient! I just deposited a check, got some new checks, and changed my address all in 7 minutes. I didn't have my debit card so they found my account by my ID. Good service.

TLDR: Avoid. Try the branch on 101 Montgomery which is two blocks away and is much better. We tried to deposit a money order through the Chase app but got rejected so we went to this branch for help. The teller said she can't fix it, can't figure out why (or didn't want to), and had us call the number at the back of our card, all with a not so pleasant attitude. So we tried the 101 Montgomery branch two blocks away and were greeted immediately upon entrance by a staff (or manager?). He was super helpful and clear and had a teller help us with the money order. Five minutes later we walked out happily with a pending deposit to our checking account. Its okay to be bad at your job, but not okay if accompanied with an attitude.

My go-to. ATMs are inside which is great. If it's before business hours you have to use a Chase card to get in. The bankers inside are super nice, helpful and fast to get what you need done. There's also a security guard either outside or in the bank so you can trust you won't be bothered. I love it and will keep using this very convenient location!

Is giving no stars a possibility? Well, one star for at least being efficient enough to only waste five 8 minutes of my day. The teller seemed to be having a problem cashing my check so she called her supervisor (?) over to help. She asked me a strange question about direct deposit, which my company had never established, and then refused to cash my check from work - an already established business and account, for many years. She said that the account was incorrect and would not give any other information. BTW, I have been cashing my work checks at the Chase location closer to my job in the financial district, but had stopped in to this location because it was convenient at the time. I had to go to the other branch with my boss to see what the problem was. It turns out there was neither a problem with our account, nor my check. Thanks for wasting my time this morning, Chase maybe a supervisor-lady, but probably shouldn't be. You have given me a good reason to not visit your location again. *I suppose the original teller was not at fault, although she stamped my check "cancelled". Boo!* In conclusion, DON'T GO TO CHASE BANK AT 595 MARKET STREET! Or, if you pass by, do give "maybe a supervisor but probably shouldn't be" lady the finger. End rant.

My father kept IRA accounts at Chase. He died recently. Under the law, the money can be transferred to beneficiary IRA accounts without incurring any tax. BUT CHASE WILL NO LONGER OPEN IRA ACCOUNTS. They will only distribute the money to the beneficiaries in a lump sum, which causes an IMMEDIATE TAXABLE EVENT. (Unlike work IRAs, there is no grace period to roll over a decedent's IRA.) I can't believe that will only distribute my father's assets in a way that will cause me to pay a penalty. No other bank or financial institution behaves this way. DO NOT KEEP MONEY AT CHASE. I just spent over two hours at this branch with a banker, and he gave me no other option.

Don't have a Chase account but went there once for faxing my documents because I applied for Amazon credit card and they needed my copy of social security card. Waited there for a long time with my copy of social security card and by the time I got in the counter, the lady just turned me down saying that I have to submit the originals. I was like, you just need to fax it? But she insisted that she will not fax it if I dont bring the originals. So I left and called their credit card customer service and guess what? They don't need to bring the originals to the branch! They just need a copy! What a waste of time because of that “smart†lady! I tried to call this branch to let them know that I can actually submit my copy, but they never pick up. Terrible service. Terrible knowledge of the staff. Two thumbs down!

I always receive great service whenever I step into the doors of Chase. More recently I've been helped by 'Bobo' who was happy to help me replace my debit card with a temporary card. Process with smooth and easy this Chase branch is conveniently my favorite go-to branch. Thank you Bobo
