About Chateau Tivoli Bed and Breakfast
Chateau Tivoli Bed and Breakfast is an absolutely outstanding and insanely beautiful inn located in a quiet, well-kept, and beautiful neighborhood of San Francisco. The impressive historical building boasts outstanding, very well-kept exteriors and Victorian-style interiors, offering a romantic and rustic ambiance full of San Francisco charm and history. The location is perfect, with lots of eateries within a few minutes walk, and it is within walking distance to attractions like Alamo Square, Golden Gate Park, Union Square, and Chinatown. Bus stops are also close, making city exploration convenient. The staff is amazing, thoughtful, engaging, friendly, familiar, and incredibly hospitable, always ready to help and make guests feel at home amongst family and friends. Guests highlight the wonderful, exquisite, and delicious breakfast, which is a delightful experience with high-quality handmade food served in beautiful living rooms; dietary needs like gluten sensitivity are accommodated. A very pleasant daily wine and cheese hour in the parlor is also a cherished feature. The suites, such as the Lily Langtry or Mark Twain, are often described as extremely spacious, roomy, and nice, though some practical aspects affect comfort. Some beds are noted as quite uncomfortable, small, narrow, or with a soft mattress. Bathroom arrangements can be inconvenient, sometimes shared between rooms or with nostalgic fixtures that are challenging to use. The house has steep and narrow staircases, which can be difficult with suitcases. Some rooms lack air conditioning, and outdated windows or plumbing can lead to drafts, noise, and water pressure issues. Street parking is also noted as poor. Despite these minor comfort points, the overwhelming sentiment is that the Chateau Tivoli is drastically underpriced for the value, a perfect little escape, and definitely worth staying at, with guests loving it so much they cannot wait to return.
