This review is based mainly on Citibank automated phone customer service system and phone 'live agent' customer service, which is obviously based somewhere overseas. First I dial their 24 hour customer service number on the back of the debit card, just to check my last ten transitions, to which I am never given an option to check on, but instead offers services that I do not want and all automated. It never even gave me an option or number to press to get to any kind of useful help I was hoping to get, and never even gave a clear option to speak with a live agent, just an ongoing loop of the same useless options, so all I could do was stay on the phone without knowing if I would eventually be transferred to a live agent. Once I was, the person I talked to, probably in India, didn't understand me or listen to what I was trying to tell him and wasted my time! I finally just hung up in the frustration. I don't know why they have their 24-hour automated system set up so poorly and thoughtlessly. All I wanted to know, is whether or not I was charged twice for an item at a store! The ATM is just as bad! When it asks you if you want more services, there is no option to get a mini statement. The ATM at my other bank offers a Mini statement right on the screen any time I want!

Great Bank! The Tellers are the best!

Singularly the worse bank I have ever worked with. Here's why: 1. Consistently incorrect bank balances when I check online. 2. Customer service that is focused on policy vs. addressing my needs. Let's just call it "Policy Enforcement" rather than customer service. 3. Constant overcharges monthly that do not add up to value. 4. Unaccounted for promises from the bank staff. and much more.

Customer service is based in India. Employees give you a run around, between tellers and desk jockeys. Customers beware: DO YOUR BANKING ELSEWHERE

I've honestly been to a lot of banks in my time but the experience that I received from the gentleman named Nate was amazing. Very friendly and professional made me feel like a valued member of the branch.

I find this Citibank to be the best one in the city! There's never a line, the tellers and manager are super friendly. Any problem always gets fixed. I also bank with B of A and wish they were this pleasant and easy going :)

I have always had super service at this branch. I have been banking with Citi for over 20 years and the service is uneven - beginning in New York City in their private bank group. BUT this particular branch is usually well managed (managers are changed regularly as they get promoted), low staff turn over so they are familiar with you. They greet you and you feel welcomed.Service is fast. Also, dog friendly.I like the fact that the branch is large and airy with seating so you can wait if you need to for special services. About 10 years ago they had a manager that was abysmal, I complained, and stopped going to that branch for awhile, and happily she was moved on.There is WiFi too. There is a wheelchair accessible ATM height one. There is no parking or drive through.

The manager Brett McCarthy didn't know what he is doing, my friend referred us to open a checking and a savings account at Citibank, we should not came to this branch at all!!! He opened my account wrong and I got service charge, I've to spend time to call customer service to explain and waste my time (if you ever call you will know the time you have to wait and waste). And when I referred my friend to open account I can't get reward because he didn't tell me reason why? Only after my friend opened the account and I found out cause many years ago she had account with Citi bank. Also I had to visited the branch for 3 times to request my bonus. Such a bad customer services , do not come to this branch!!!

Ella Shilman is by far and away the very best! She is very professional and more importantly, very kind. She spent so much time helping my family and I.

Agree with all the other reviews here on customer service. This is my second time visiting the branch here where there seems to be no system to be seen by a banker. The bankers and tellers never have answers to my questions and are very untrained when it comes to basic questions around international banking like how to issue a demand draft/check in foreign currency. They're also very comfortable just saying they don't know the answer and leaving it at that. The teller was a bit more helpful and he called the Citibank hotline for me to ask but came back with an answer about something different what I was asking for which didn't help me. I only still bank with Citibank because Citibank in other countries has much better service but I'm losing my loyalty to them here every time I make a visit to this branch. I walked across the street to Wells Fargo and they at least knew what my question was even though they couldn't help me because I don't have an account with them. Of course the manager wasn't around and almost never is when I go into the branch.

My recommendation is to never use the ATMs at this branch for depositing cash or checks! I've recently made a deposit there which was later on rejected because the bank claimed it was not endorsed. After speaking to the manager Brett, he was able to look up the scan of the check and confirm that it was indeed endorsed, but now I have to wait until they mail me back the original check to redeposit again. The process will take 10 days!I also called customer service at Citibank and spoke to a supervisor who advised me over the phone, "to make my deposits at a teller." Pathetic! I've been a customer of Citibank for 30 years, I'm now considering switching banks because of this.

The manager Brett W. McCarty spent 45 mins explaining to me the interweavings of the bank system only to find out that I have BullSh1t in business. He's got a chip on his shoulder and does not listen to customers...seems to spend all his time trying to show everyone he is the best but he is only the best at trying to make everyone else FEEL like an idiot. It took you 5 years to graduate college so you are not so much of a genius and not so much in customer service... I would absolutely not like to work for this guy and do not blame employees for leaving or for high turnover. I asked a simple question, Mr. McCarty was brought over and did not focus on explaining clearly when and how much of my funds would/could be available today. He got into symantics and still did not try to focus on understanding what I wanted to do with MY money. I had to simplify and just take everything out and do it myself. I do not expect the tellers to be able to understand if Mr. McCarty is explaining and if they do then kudos to them. I left feeling more confused and angry than when I walked in. Went back to grab his card to file a complaint with corporate and then that is the point he began to try to understand... And as he walked up to hand me his card he said he filed a complaint already? ...Against himself? He also asked me to bank with another bank because he cannot have his tellers treated in such a way. Mr. McCarty should spend some time training if the tellers can stand being around him for that long, I have only interacted with him maybe once or twice and would prefer other branches simply because of him. I just wanted to pay my bills today with the money I earned, I did not wake up saying "hey I hope someone patronizes me today."
