City Door & Hardware did a great job for me. They were courteous and punctual,. I had them install hardware for 4 commercial stores for the accessible business entrance program. I highly recommend. jayne hong

I needed to source a pre-hung SOSS hinge door (as well as some other regular pre-hung doors) quickly and they were able to help get them on time. Recommend stopping by rather than calling.

I'm pretty disappointed with the service! I worked with Rita in sales to get a few quotes, I emailed her back with questions 3 times and never got a response. I understood, she quotes 100 people a day, not answering is no big deal. But then when I called her, she was so unwilling to help. She wouldn't let me get a word in, she refused to send me a spec sheet for what she quoted me without me paying her first, and she was completely rude. Regardless, I told her I'd email her my questions, and hopefully we could get this solved. I've emailed her 3 times since our awful phone call and still haven't heard back. I won't ever bother trying to work with Rita again.

I went there to find an ada pocket door lock. The seller was very helpful and patient to explain the item.

Never gave me my call backs. I had a contract with them to do a handicap door and was never responded for more than a month. I'm running out of time.

Unless you ask specific questions they don't disclose high fees you will be charged to return items. Poor customer service.

Great experience from start to finish! Our garage had a very old door with difficult to access area. Gidi and his team were able to work around these problems and the result is a beautiful new door that opens and closes with almost no noise - a big change from the old one. The installation crew was efficient and worked even in the rain to complete the work on schedule.

Let me introduce you to the spectacularly worst, mind-bendingly awful customer service in the galaxy, courtesy of Rita. If you want to waste 4 weeks of your time, just try to buy a door here. You don't have to go on a bender or enter Aleppo through Turkey. 1. Ask for samples of commercial doors. Eight days pass since you talk to Rita. She's THE ONLY RESIDENTIAL SPECIALIST in case you think you'll get lucky. You won't. Rita's never available, never calls back. After you get her one week later, she claims that the vendor refused to send samples without a door purchase. Problem: you call the vendor and they IMMEDIATELY SEND SAMPLES. (They also tell you City Door never called). BONUS: They never call you when the sample comes in. You have to call day after day until Rita decides the moon is in the fourth window and takes your call to confirm the samples are in. Doesn't sound the least bit embarrassed, making it clear this is her crapshow version of customer service. 2. Ask for a quote. Weeks more pass. You call every few days. You call the vendor who says they gave a quote days ago. You finally get Rita on the phone who tells you the quote was just emailed that day! YOU ASK IF SHE CAN FORWARD THE CURIOUSLY LATE EMAIL. SHE SAYS SHE IS UNABLE. BONUS: She promised her staff would send the quote by end of day last Friday. Today, still have not seen it. Basically, this place functions like if they sell you something, the entire place will be destroyed. They live in fear of helping, because it is clearly the last thing they will ever do with their lives. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE.

I don't know where most of these reviews get there information from, but my experience with city door on 13th St is terrible. They took the money but the product was not ready even within a 2 week window of the quoted date. Everytime I step in this business I am not greeted or acknowledged until I walk into the back office and introduce myself. The product is decent at best. I want to like this place but they make it very very difficult. With the way they treat customers who speak English.

I ordered a knob for a bedroom that was glass from here. The service when I arrived was quick. I was greeted by Rita, shown some books of examples of the type of knobs that I preferred with different finishes. Rita gave me detailed info on some other options. I left with one knob purchase to ensure that it is exactly the right type for my needs. Thanks for the excellent customer service, Rita! I will be back!

I needed Hager stainless steel hinges for our new door ASAP and quickly realized that these are hard to find in stores. Thank goodness City Door carries them--in 2 finishes to boot and they even have the cheaper imported version (also from Hager)! I found Rita, the owner, to be very personable and quite knowledgeable. Although I went to buy hinges I asked about their doors and turns out they had 5 different grades of solid core slab doors most of them in stock. I decided to tell my contractor to froget about the one he was going to get from Home Depot, which most likely wasn't going to be as nice. I picked one I saw and compared with the rest on site and for may be only a little more than the average ones out there. Be warned that since this place primarily supplies for commerical projects and small contractors who pop in for their high end customers, it's not setup in a very retail format. The entrance to the store under the 101 freeway is easy to miss but once you go inside it's a world full of doors and related hardware!

I recently purchased a door that was to leed into a garage so it needed to be fire rated. When I ordered the door they had the blank it just needed to be hung. The very rude counter clerk said it would be ready on Monday. I placed the order on a Friday morning. I called on Monday afternoon left a message to see if the door was ready and had no reply. Then I called at the end of the day and was tolt they ran out of jam stock and it would be ready on Tuesday afternoon. So I was headed there on Tuesday afternoon and called while I was driving to find out it still was not ready. I was told Wednesday then. I picked the door up on Friday to find out they were working on it as I got there. It was hung the wrong direction, the jam was longer on one side then the other, it was missing the fire rated tags, the striker hole was wrong. Stay away from this company take it from a professional.
