WORST Bank in the United States of America. So awful. They should be ashamed of themselves. No customer service at all. You cant talk to these people via email. If you actually manage to get them on the phone after 2-3 hours of waiting, they will be rude and just hang up on you. 99% of the time their ATM machines are always down and then charge outlandish fees when you have to go elsewhere. RUN, dont walk away from this awful bank. You will be sorry if you go with them.

I do lots of baking internationally and locally comerica is the bank that I will not recommend to anyone they are not helpful at all and they charge you from left and right I sent money to overseas and it took 3 weeks and they didn't get it so I had to call the money back to us which if I do it with other banks it will take one day and they are charging me $100 because they couldn't deliver the funds so stay away from this bank they will kill your business

Very poor service. Bank has very high fees and does not provide access to bankers. I banked w Comerica for years only to find that they would close my Home Equity Line of Credit after I paid off the balance to zero and they would not reopen it. Very dissatisfied and I would avoid banking with Comerica at all costs. Pun intended.

Urgent! I'm a self employed real estate agent and I have had an account with Comerica for many many years. The NEW policy of the bank is to put a hold on my escrow checks, which are my paychecks. I carry a good balance, and even though it was nearly as much as the check I was depositing, they instituted the hold. I have never in all these years had an escrow check not clear. Comerica now automatically holds checks for 7 days which is ridiculous! This bank obviously needs to use my money since they are on the top 10 watch list for banks in trouble. When I asked management for help, they suggested I have the money wired so they can charge me a wire fee. I'm moving my money and wouldn't recommend them to anyone - it's my money!!!!

I am a small business owner and I have been with Comerica since 2010. When I first started I had one credit card with a $2000 spending limit, now I have a $70,000 credit card. Over 13 years I believed, I I built a relationship with my financial institution, but I have found out in recent days that it's not so friendly to a small business owner, such as myself. I have never been late on a payment, and I've always brought my balance down to zero, which reflects in how I have achieved a higher spending limit. Instead of taking a loan this year to grow my business, I decided to use my credit cards which I'm finding out now is a huge mistake. For over six years Comerica was always kind because I could call every six months and get a promotional APR, which really helped me stay afloat and grow my business. So I had a time that I've spent a lot on my credit cards. I called the other day to get my promotional APR, which I have a reminder on my phone. Enough there was no promotion for me after six years all of a sudden in my most critical time to stay afloat they are not helping me out instead my interest rate is at 28%. Every single other credit card that I have including American Express, Citi Card Chase they are all at 20% or lower and here my loyal business bank is screwing me hard. When I called they was nothing they can do. All I can say is beware when you decide what bank to store your money and do business with because I am a loyalty person and this really hurts and leaves a bad taste in my mouth so when I get the funds together, I'm going to finish paying off these credit cards and decide which bank is really for a small business and switch. Beware friends because I'm learning the hard way who Comerica really is. Good luck

This is a for profit bank which means they make most of their money by account and overdraft fees. They will hold some pending charges on your account until it is low and then process the charges all at once bringing your account negative. Then you will be charged overdraft fees of 38 dollars for every charge they approve after your account is negative. Basically stealing money from you under the guise of it being a helpful service, which it isn't. It is a predatory service that only affects poor people. No one with ample money in their account is affected by this. Only people living check to check. I recently attempted to close my account after receiving a overdraft fee. I didn't dispute I just paid the 38 dollars bringing my account positive. I then spoke with the teller at the branch and withdrew the 2 dollars I had in the account. The only reason I found out my account was still active was when I accidentally sent money from my venmo to the account and it went through. I checked and I was negative 68 dollars after sending in 85. The account was still open and receiving daily overdraft fees of 6 dollars with a few other 38 dollar over draft fees. In the end, after complaining, SOME of the fees were waived and in the end my account was brought back up to .02cents. In the end I lost $84.98 to finally, hopefully, close this account with this bank that has STOLEN hundreds of dollars from myself over the years with their terrible overs fee "protection". I implore anyone thinking of getting an account with Comerica to reconsider and if possible use capital one online banking. They don't have overdraft fees unless you opt in for the protection. Don't fall victim to predatory banks such as this one, Bank of America, chase or any of the other big national banks.

The customer service at this bank is non friendly. I tried to cash a payroll check that banks with Comerica. I was asked why i didn't bank with them and simply they don't have a lot of locations near me. I was told to cash my check with my bank and now have to wait one day for the check to clear

this bank is a rip off... My son received Childsupport payment on his card. I requested a new card back in July 2nd 2019 I was told it was shipped out. How about I never received it until August 10, 2022 so every month from July 2019 they charged me for not using my card till the point where as of August 10, 2022 my son's child support benefits is no longer on the card because of them charging me/the card for not using it. PLEASE help me to understand how I'm I going to use a card that I never received? How about when I spoke with customer service representatives they were very rude and disrespectful. To top it off they told me I could not get my money back because I did not use the card and they told me there was no one else that I can speak with to get my money back because it was just their rules. I really need to report this to somebody.

Horrible Fraud Resolution. We had a fraudulent charge on our account. It took them several weeks to "investigate" and once they finally returned the money withdrawn fraudulently, we had to argue with them another several days to get the insufficient fee charges reversed. Just awful, I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Use any other bank.

If I could give zero stars I would. This company is stuck in the Stone Age. The manager is gone for over a month and no one is able to do managerial tasks in their absence. There is no online banking offered. I have had to make numerous trips in person to accomplish tasks culminating in today where I came in at the normal time that I have been coming in after I get off of work before they close and today was told that I had to arrive before 2 in order to do a wire transfer. Was not told this before me arriving. Absolutely ridiculous banking experience, worst I’ve ever had. Please do yourself a favor and choose any other bank.

Terrible experience. I would say this does not apply to everyone at the Portage MI branch on Westnedge, Leah is great, and the former branch manager was great also. The current manager and regional manager offer terrible customer relations and assistance, however. I banked there for 20 years and had my daughter open accounts there when she came of age as well. Due to an error when she tried to close her account when she moved the system racked up $980.00 in fees! When we asked for help, they refused. Because she had moved mail was going too slow and they ended up charging her account off. So, over an error they are perfectly willing to ruin a 24 year olds credit and refuse to help AT ALL with the fees. We didn't ask them to erase it, we just asked for help and they refused. Unconscionable.

This is the best bank I have ever banked at. Hands down. The staff is AMAZING.
