Books Inc. is a very cool bookshop located in terminal two of San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The decor is warm and inviting, there are literally thousands of books ranging from children’s, teenager, to adult. Books of almost any genre are available. They also sell toys and stuffed animals for the kids. Great place to stop by if you’re ever in the airport and are looking for a good Red. I recommend.

Every time I enter a Books Inc location (Alameda or SFO) I’m delighted by their incredible selection and to not be in a large chain bookstore. But my last visit the evening of March 13th was less than enjoyable. I was on my way back home to Oakland and stopped in to grab some books for kiddos. It took me a while to decide, but as I moved through the store I noticed the masked store associate seemed to be tracking my every move. It was far from pleasant but I carried on undeterred. Yet when I asked if they carried a particular item I was met with a terse NO. I made a point to walk to the front of the store to check out with another associate, as I’d no desire to interact with him any more than necessary. Once I’d paid and politely declined a bag I began to load the my five kids books and two stuffed animals into my suitcase. And of course, before I’d finished, I look up to see he’s moved up to the front register to monitor me. Look, I get it. No business (small or large) wants to deal with theft. But at the same time, I don’t want my every move tracked as I walk through your bookstore just because of my brilliant brown skin or my natural hair. Perhaps this individual is the store manager as he appeared the most seasoned/experiences of those on the store floor. Whatever the case may be, please choose to do better. Every patron deserves to be treated fairly.

Books and is another great bookstore in the San Francisco airport. This one is similar to green apple, but maybe has a slightly larger selection of books. They also have more magazines, but their magazines are nothing special. It would be better if they had things like Scientific American, instead of People. But they still have a decent selection of nonfiction, history, and science books, and fiction too, I suppose for people who read that. Another nice thing is that they have a couple of tables of sale books at very good prices, and they have enough selection of sale books that you can almost certainly find something to read on the plan for less than $10.

Excellent experience! Just looking for a book about railroad for my friend, and Sandy help me locate “Ghosts of gold mountain” in their chain and show me the way to the store. Couldn’t ask for a better service.

Made me very uncomfortable. I selected to not donate/round up to the charity suggested at the cash register. The clerk was continuing to ask and I had to tell him no multiple times. Each time he asked his tone was less friendly.

A good variety of books - they even have comic books!
Also sell jellycat plush - soooo adorable!
Love the idea of "blind date with a book". Definitely recommend!

Best airport bookstore ever! They have a huge and diverse selection of books as well as good kids books and toys. Not just your usual tourist junk. I'll be back next trip!

Very rude customer service here. I kindly asked if they price match go the cashier. Without even giving me a chance to continue asking on what book/item I was referring to. He shouted at me with a big "No" with a pretty angry look and attitude.I will not be buying anything from here. All you had to do was kindly say no. Don't go shouting at your customers please. This happened on Aug 15, 2023 at around 6:30pm.Horrible service.

In this day and age, a honest to goodness bookstore is always a refreshing find. Prices are in line with what you would find on the outside, in general, decent selection of new releases and other books, and a friendly staff to help if you need it. Simply fun to browse and see what is still out there in print
