What a beautiful bookstore with such a generous inventory! With time to kill waiting for a delayed flight & a book in my carry-on I had finished hours before, I was so happy to find that Compass had a huge number of books on my want-to read list (not just the limited amount of trending/newer titles that most of the smaller book sections in airport gift stores have). If you’re looking for your next read ahead of travel at SFO, please give them a visit - they also have a store in Terminal 2!

Very nice and convenient, I get post cards from here -- now less and less book stores sale post cards in USA , it's lucky for me to find pretty nice post cards here ?
Then i will send these cards to my Taiwan family ☺️ , hope they like it .ha ??
Here also sell the suviniors, you may take a look if you have time during transfer
It’s a very convenient bookstore, especially it sells postcards. Now fewer and fewer bookstores in the United States sell postcards. I’m really lucky to be able to find them at the airport bookstore ha ??
I will send the postcard to my family in Taiwan. I hope they can receive it.
This bookstore also sells some souvenirs. If you have time when you are in transit, you can stop by and take a look.

Polite staff. Large selection of books for children especially.
Nice music is playing. You can sit down and read to the kids. There are souvenirs.

A wonderful bookstore you’d expect in a town you love. Staff are bibliophiles and write reviews of the favorites to post on the shelves. I purchased my first manga book: Cat + Gamer by Wataru Nadatani and it was delightful!

Great selection of books for a small store! They had so much in there I was surprised and impressed. The staff were super friendly and helpful and even helped me find the book I was looking for in the sale section as well, it was perfect they had it since I’d just finished the book before on the plane. Now I can read the next one! ?

A fraudulent store in SFO, where I almost paid $63.51 for an item of $6.51. I bought a magnet of $6.51 and paid by card and the cashier gave me a receipt of $6.51. However when I just walked out of the store, my credit card bank reminded me that I paid $63.51!!! I asked the cashier about it and he said "it was a mistake" in a "whatever" attitude - I guess that he really wants to say is "ah you caught me". Though the end of the story is that I got refunded and re-paid $6.51 for the magnet (I should), I still believe there are many other people who were in a hurry to catch the flights so that they missed so many apparently intentional "mistakes" made by the cashiers. I feel so sorry for those people so please, avoid this store if you can.

This was disappointingly homogenous. The buyer for the store exhibits a pretty closed-minded lack of diversity of thought. One of the most boring bookstores I've ever been in because of the single-minded point of view represented in its products.
