No water in the building and the two staff i have talked to are very rude. Told me to get water outside the building while having the door locked. Go to another studio where the staff are more normal

Every time I do yoga I sob at the end; however, this time I started sobbing from the get go. I was made aware of the damaging and neglectful ways I did with my body. I went to the 5:30 pm class on Monday. Inadvertently I reserved on a hot yoga class, what a wonderful surprise. it was my first time at CorePower Yoga, and hopefully first of many more. I am looking forward to further connect mind, body and soul.

I have a lot of issues with Corepower. I have been a client for a long time, having taken almost 200 classes so I have a lot to say. The biggest issues are consistency and value for money. As a chain similar to soul cycle and Barrys, these studios aren't even close to the same level but guess what, they cost the same! When you go to a Barrys class, you know exactly what you are going to get - you are going to get your ass kicked at a high level, intense workout. While you may like a certain instructor over another, the quality of service is the same. NOT at CorePower! Here, you can come to a C2 class and feel like you are taking an intro to yoga class taught by an 18 year old that just got her first job orrrrr you can end up at a C2 class with a reasonably capable instructor able to choreograph an interesting flow and get a good workout. Problem is you never know what you are going to get. The website doesn't have pics of the instructors so I can't remember who I like and who I don't. There are no C3 classes for more advanced participants. There is no consistency but the price is always too expensive. At $36 bucks a pop, I better know exactly what I'm getting but unfortunately thats not the case here. Oh and don't let me forget that for about 3-6 mos, they started charging me for classes I didn't take . I had to call 5 different times and write endless emails. And it kept happening - so watch your accounts people!

Update 4/14: CP reached out to me to offer me a complimentary class after this incident. Still frustrated I wasted my time the last time I went but appreciate the gesture and looking forward to giving them another shot!Original Review 4/9: Beware of doing a "free week" here. I just woke up early on a Sunday and walked 1.5 miles with my heavy yoga gear for a 9:30 am class only to be turned away when I got to the studio unless I wanted to pay a $37 "drop in" rate for the class that appeared to be part of my free week. Their online system apparently still allows you to book classes past your free week so I thought mine ended today since it let me book. I would have booked a class for yesterday had I known that was when it really ended. I only got to take 2 classes here the past week and feel like I completely wasted it. I did enjoy the classes I took and was thinking of buying a package here but I was not able to experience enough to commit, especially since their women's facilities were out of order both times I came so I did not get the full experience.

My body was the best it's ever looked when I had my Blacktag membership with CPY, and religiously went to classes at this location. The teachers were motivating, high energy, with the right amount of Yoga zen. My body looked great but I also felt relaxed and focused during my day. Of the CPY's in SF this is the best location, in my humble opinion. Highly recommend.

On the early afternoon of New Year's Eve I took the Hot yoga class. I totally loved it. The studio is very cute, and the instructor Taylor took us on this journey throughout the class reminding us to be present, and proactively made herself available before and after the class.

Awesome yoga studio! I pass by this place all the time and they are also a participating studio on ClassPass, so needless to say I felt a visit was definitely overdue. The studio is easy to find. It's a short walk from Market St if you're taking transit. There's street parking and bike parking in front of the studio or nearby around the corner. It's very clean and well-kept, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Bonus: First week is free for new students! Some places only give one free class - if even that - but a whole week is more sufficient to get a better feel for the place and decide if you want make it your regular yoga studio ;)The studio has 3 yoga rooms. Studios 1 and 2 are large and roomy. They can get crowded a times, especially during "rush" times before and after work since there are so many people, but I still find that I can always find enough space to put my mat. Worst case, the staff can come in to request people to make room. I made the small mistake of setting up my mat right in front of the heaters once though, so keep an eye on that if you don't want to have heat blasting on you for half the class lol - especially since the room gets hotter and hotter as more people show up and start yoga-ing. Studio 3 is smaller, so it tends to be used for less populated classes. They all have large windows along one wall, which is great for letting in natural light if the shades aren't closed for privacy. This is probably one of my favourite yoga studios in SF. The only downside I can think of is the changing rooms - at least the women's one. While it provides useful amenities and the lockers have automated locks on them (so you don't need to remember to bring your own), it's a huge mess most of the time when I come. There isn't enough room for everyone to change nor store things, so it's usually very crowded between classes, there's oftentimes a huge dump of stuff along the floors (meaning your stuff is also not secured), and it becomes difficult to navigate.I've been to a bunch of different classes now, and all of them have their own pros and cons, depending on what your preferred class style is. My favourite is CorePower 2, which provides less instruction than CorePower 1 and is more flowy (vinyasa) as a result. CorePower 1 (and the newer 1.5) are great for beginners and advanced students alike since there are always new ways to challenge yourself. Hot Power Fusion is a great hot yoga class, though there are generally more static and holding poses than the other classes. I haven't tried Yoga Sculpt (which uses weights) yet, but hopefully one day I brave it and just go. You don't need to sign up for classes in advance (actually, I'm not sure you even can now since they changed their website). Just show up with your class fob or give the front desk your phone number (to find your account) and you're good to go!

I had the most comfortable experience at this yoga studio! The staff were also very friendly, and they helped keep the site clean. The yoga flow was great for experienced yogis and beginners as well. The day I visited was not very busy. I will definitely be returning soon! Such great views of the City on my way there, too!

They lock their doors before the class time and it's absolutely ridiculous. I woke up at the break of dawn for their first class of the day and arrive at exactly the right time to find the door locked. Like what kind of staffing system do you have that can't let people in ON TIME!! Absolutely awful.

Negligent in hygieneAfter a happy year with the studio, attending 4-6 classes/week, in May’22 I got a severe skin infection… and subsequently discovered that CorePower Yoga does not use professional cleaners. All cleaning is apparently done by teachers and volunteers. My overall isolation combined with the facts that my spouse never got infected and that my infection started at my feet – the feet that are bare in the studio! – pointed to CorePower Yoga. However, learning that they do not see cleaning as their basic responsibility made me think that my horrific experience – I lost nearly a week of billable hours and 3 months later, still have scarring from the blisters that covered my whole body – was not an unfortunate accident but rather the product of willful negligence by a corporation.Like me, many may assume that hot-yoga studios, like gyms and other places where people sweat and shed lots of skin cells, engage commercial cleaning. Learning that CorePower Yoga does no such thing concerned me so deeply that I could barely focus. I suspended my membership and contacted Core Power’s regional management for clarification. 7.5 weeks and several follow-ups later, still nothing. I am very sad. I miss the teachers I love. I miss hot yoga. But I simply cannot expose myself and my family to who knows what risks. Neither can I make it okay for CorePower Yoga to rake in fees and pandemic stimulus money – let alone profess to care about our wellness -- while putting our health at risk.CorePower Yoga is negligent and should not be in this business.

Core Power have a high standard of studio & teaching right across the US but also have newly opened in Australia. I find the Vinyasa flow to be a great balance of strength and flexibility work at the right pace and in a manageable temperature. Recently went to class in the San Francisco Financial district. I really enjoyed the teacher & we happily chatted afterwards about being a yogis from Australia. Her kindness was appreciated.

Go at least twice. You should learn the format first and then you'll fall in love, just like i did. I truly believe CorePower Yoga should be everywhere! The setup of the class is perfect. Love the mini massage and eucalyptus towel ending.
