April 2024 by Brian B.
Rolled up on a weeknight and started casually browsing through the men's section. I saw these practically brand new pair of white vans that were my size. I asked one of the employees, Kenzie, to see the other shoe. She initially could not find it and I thought no worries and move on. Kenzie made it her personal mission to find the missing shoe which she did. The fit was on point and the customer service even better so it was an easy decision.

went in and sold some of my older clothes today around noon on a Friday. as I walked in I was quickly welcomed in and was told to sign in if I was selling clothes. I was called up after 10/15 minutes of waiting. They had cool pieces behind the counter make sure to ask about them! seen a stone island sweater and a jack boys dickies jacket that I was surprised they had. Laurel was very quick and helpful thank you so much! will be back soon!

Hit or miss. Can be really awful depending on the behavior of other shoppers. Noticed this sign in the dressing room about a surcharge?! Just raise the price, don't add on a 3.5% hidden surcharge that you only disclose on a sign hidden in the back dressing room, that's dishonest!

Normal little store. Just thought the prices they came up with were a bit too low they, judging on brand new clothing I came in to sell to them. Maybe it was just that one time... nice things.

Rudest employees ever. I will never return to this store because of the way the employees--Kaitlin and Claire--treated me. I will file a formal complaint with the company.

I take my stuff to Goodwill and Salvation Army. I feel better by giving to help others than filling another ones niche.

I’ve been buying, selling, and trading at the Irving location for 20+ years. I make a point of being gracious when my items are rejected; I take it as a learning experience. As a reasonably stylish person (I’m often complimented for having a lot of personal style), I sometimes inquire why a particular item was rejected because I want to learn. Today, when I respectfully asked why a seasonally-appropriate cami was rejected, the buyer (blonde, long hair, regretfully I didn’t get her name), sighed and said “That silhouette is hard for us to sell.” I didn’t understand that she meant by ‘silhouette’ so I asked for clarification. She explained with a snarky snarl that the shape was not good. Indeed, that’s why I stopped wearing the thing. But rather than treat me like an intelligent person, she scurried away and made a sarcastic comment about me to the other two clerks at the cash registers. I heard, “I always say that to …” … because she was walking away, I didn’t hear the rest. The other two clerks laughed under their breath. REALLY?! Do I need to pay money to take abuse? I ended up spending $55 after trading in three items for $31 ($86 before trade value). I’m going to find a kinder, gentler resale shop going forward.

I want to like this place so bad because I love the idea of having a thrift store close to where I live, but I just haven’t had a good experience here anytime I come in. There are always several staff around who never offer to help me look for items. They barely say hi when you walk in. It honestly makes me feel like I’m not “cool” enough to be there or like I’m Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman… it happened again tonight which is why I’m writing this review. The clothes are honestly not cute, with the exception of the denim section, and I hear over and over that people have trouble selling here. It really makes me wonder how they choose the stuff they buy?! I don’t even think it’s a generational thing because I felt this way about Crossroads a few years back in my 20s too lol.I will probably continue to pop in now and then because it’s close by and maybe things will improve, but for now I don’t think this is a reliable place to find clothes I like.

I think I'm done selling to crossroads after my most recent experience here. I always come to crossroads with a free day knowing that it'll take a while to sell, so I was super happy/surprised when I went in on Saturday and the waiting list was completely empty. I put my name in, was the only one on the list for a while and...it took them two hours to get through my 3 bags. I figured they were probably just understaffed or something, but eventually I went up to the counter and found out they forgot(?) to let me know they were done sorting through my stuff. The staff at the counter had switched, so maybe my order got lost during a shift switch? Anyways, it's possible I didn't hear my name, but I was sitting at the front almost the whole time with no headphones, so it seems unlikely to me. I also signed up for the text alerts, but never got anything through there. This location is fine for shopping, but go to the market location if you want to sell. They're much better and more efficient.

I felt the need to share my experience at Crossroads Trading.Last week I came in with clothes to sell, the individual who bought my clothes was so incredibly nice and went out of their way to make the experience rememberable. I wish I knew their name however they had a few piercings and hand tattoos. They also gave me recommendations of items I should purchase after I told them what I was looking for. They bought a lot of the items I brought in and will come again soon.

Cross Roads on Irving st. Is a nice place to shop and sell. This particular store has a very casual feel and style. Claire one of the managers is a pro at getting through the sellers line quickly. She is a great buyer who really knows her stores customers. She's been really helpful and patient and always let's me know what to bring that's on trend. They really love neutral colors now, subtle browns, creams ,fall items. Coach is trending this month.Besides Claire all the staff are freindly. They buy quite a bit on most days. Rejects are usually based on condition . Keep this in mind when bringing in your clothes. They follow a price guide in order to give you a fair and consistent price . They aren't allowed to price items to low based on personal taste. They follow a formula and always pay 30% cash. This and there sign in app are smart for buisness and make things simple and hassle free, unlike other stores in the city that only pay 25 % ! Check them out!

Yikes.A buyer named Jannelle was beyond rude. Very abrupt, and didn’t bother to look at what my friend and I brought. She rifled through our bags and just shoved everything back in without any courtesy to organizing it. We asked for a buying report and she “printed” out a blank sheet. We were paid out a very low amount.Perhaps she shouldn’t work retail if she hates her job lol. You’re probably better off selling to Buffalo exchange.

This location is a waste of time for selling. Cute options for buying but I spent 2+ hours waiting to sell on a Wednesday afternoon. When I asked how long it would take the women at the counter said "not too long". 2+ hours later!!! Additionally the buyers have no respect for peoples time. They were having personal conversations the entire time and thus making this process much longer. The final kicker is someone came in to drop off after calling to confirm she should, and they turned here away. Overall very negative and frustrating experience.
