Quite simply, the best pharmacy service I have had. Everyone at CVS is knowledgeable, friendly and very responsive. Highly recommended.

The Pharmacy 1688 Westchester Ave Bronx, NY 10472, provides horrible service. When you call they hang up on you. I record all my calls and I can provide multiple calls that they hung up on me. The pharmacy technicians and pharmacist refuse to call for overrides and when I call my insurance company they advise me the pharmacy knows they are the ones that have to call for the override. So then I can't get my medicine. The service is rude and unprofessional. Im disabled and I'm tired of this pharmacy treating me in this manner. When you go in the pharmacy there's always an argument with customers because of how the pharmacy treats customers. Brian a pharmacist technician just hung up on me instead of overriding my prescription. Kareem the pharmacist told me he has over 100 prescriptions to fill I can get my prescription tomorrow. I have been trying to get this 9filled since May 4, 2023

Negligent, Incompetent, and LIE to you to get you off the phone even when it's something as necessary as INSULIN for an elderly breast cancer survivor. I don't even know where to start. EVERY SINGLE TIME literally, and I truly mean literally, my mother needs her insulin they mess something up, the insulin is delayed and we have to have conversations about if it's time to go to the ER or not. This current time we are at day 9 from the initial request and we STILL do not have her insulin. First they shipped it to a home that my mother left because of abuse and has not lived at for 10 months, despite sending it here every other time since then. When this was finally discovered, because of my mother's efforts and not CVS Specialty Pharmacy, we were promised it would be overnighted. Complete and total lie because that was 3 days ago. With there being a weekend in between there we were patient as long as it made it here by Monday (today). Well it's 5pm CST now, no insulin! Had to call and escalate to someone that hopefully actually has some compassion and isn't incompetent. He has promised it will be at our local CVS tonight and he will be crediting the extra money we have to pay tonight to get it, but all if this remains to be seen. It's sad I have my fingers crossed that this person handled it because if he didn't we have no choice, but to get her to the ER so she can get insulin. Not one person has followed through yet so we'll see. My poor mother is on the phone for hours and hours every time this happens. This incident alone she has been on the phone nearly 10 hours all in all. You are WAY better off not using mail order even if it costs more. Thankfully she has me here to help her, but I can imagine that CVS Specialty Pharmacy likely has a lot of blood on their hands by not getting the elderly their life saving medications timely. Please keep in mind I am only describing this specific fiasco because they always manage to mess something up.***Update- Nope! J.D. on the escalation team is on a long list of Caremark employees that have failed us. 3 hours since he promised our local CVS could get the insulin, but our local pharmacist is still trying to get it approve. This is unbelievable, but actually it happens every time so it's actually completely believable.

If I could select negative stars I would. They are an ancient company. I work with a copay program to pay for my medication and it feels like it's the first time CVS has worked with a copay program. CVS specialty has told me about ten times that they are "escalating" my problem or payment. And that was never done. Every new time I called to follow up, the new person told me the last person I talked to didn't do anything. I have asked for a print out of my bills and my payments... they said they would mail it to me (as they don't email) received those payments/bill history 6 months later and it wasn't even the documents I need. The hours off of my life I have lost talking to cvs specialty infuriates me. The hours from work I have lost because they only are open during work hours are countless. I have had a positive experience with ACCREDO. If your insurance takes ACCREDO. You should make the switch and have your specialty medications sent there. They are not stuck in the stone ages when it comes to email. Every worker I have talked to is competent. I have been brought to tears multiple times by CVS specialty due to how frustrated I was. I have had to call multiple times a week for a month and a half to even get something done. The "something" CVS did wasn't even correct. Need prior authorization? Forget it. That was a nightmare with CVS and my insurance. Need a receipt on a payment you had to make out of pocket due to CVS being incompetent in taking a copay payment? Forget it.Need a correct paper claim sent to your copay program (because CVS sent it incorrectly the first time)? Forget it. Need CVS workers to do their job and know how to work with other companies (dermatologists, doctors, copay's)? Forget it.Every 5 star positive review they have is over 8 years ago..... hmmmmm

I wish you could give zero stars. I work for a hospital and they want to be be rated at 5 stars, but have it's employees dealing with companies with 1 star ratings. This is horrible. I have never had and now I am stuck dealing with a company that only wants money and not for the people who are paying into making there companies millions. As a CEO seeing review like this should make a CEO and COO cringe. I wouldn't even shop at a dollar tree if it had 1 star and now I am forced to deal with one for my health... Make it make sense..... HORRIBLE

If I could give negative starts I absolutely would! The representatives are so unhelpful in everyway possible. Patients with large copays are just send on their way and told that's too bad they have to pay it. They refused to talk with the Dr's office and to help with a solution on getting patient their medications. HORRIBBLE HORRIBBLE HORRIBLE! I will be contacting the patients insurance company and filing a formal complaint against CVS. Hopefully if enough patients and providers do this, insurance companies will not longer use CVS and put them out of business.

The worst pharmacy for specialty medications!!! If you have a specialty drug then it's very important that you always have it and take it at the same time each day. Well, CVS does not enforce that behavior. They are not there when you need them and will never rush. Their notification team is nonexistent. When you place an order for a refill, they put your "specialty" drug on hold until you can call them and answer the same questionnaire each month. I hate this pharmacy for the lack of care they exhibit to their patients. However, company insurance uses them, so, I am stuck. I miss the local apothecary that were like family and took care of everything for you! However, with CVS, I always have to go a week without my medication because they always have some delayed reason.

GOD HELP YOU if you depend on this pharmacy for a life-sustaining drug. You are not likely to live.Due to some antitrust type of violation within the healthcare industry, my Blue Shield PPO will only authorize me to use this pharmacy. Now I see why -they would not be in operation if health insurers allowed patients any choice in their drug supplier. No person in his or her sane f****** mind would rely on this pharmacy. They are guaranteed business no matter how horrifically incompetent they are.The Hellish experience is beyond words... brain-dead automatons, failed orders, orders that are canceled or delayed for no reason at the last minute, shipments that never arrive, Hellish phone bureaucracy with automaton after automaton -that will drive you insane. One time, I placed an order after being told my balance after co-pay was $0 (as usual). Then I was billed $6,000. The representative didn't apply the right co-pay. I almost had to hire a lawyer to resolve the mess.I'm looking at these other reviews. I'm going to contact Blue Shield to find out if they're even aware of these types of complaints.

Constantly out of stock. They didn’t even have penicillin to fill my prescription at this location.

Very slow at shipping out HIV PEP medications causing a multi-day gap in coverage. It's over the 3rd business day to ship a necessary timely med after they received the script on a friday, plus a weekend.Only one medication was sent on 2nd business day after told they both were sent. So they also split meds that need to be taken together into two shipments without notification. Not sure what is going on but they aren't interested supporting patient care.

All of these reviews are accurate. The customer service representatives are all super nice but you will get transferred a whole lot every time you call. This place is soooooooo disorganized and inefficient. Don't let there be an issue with your medication processing... you won't hear about it until you try to refill the med. Definitely would not use them if I were not required to do so by my insurance company.

They are the worst!! For the second time in two weeks they told me that they are going to send my son’s medication and the day before they call me to say it is out of stock, why you promise something that you do not have in the fist place? They do not care about patients health just their business. Sad.

Miserable experience and company. I take critical and expensive drugs that need to be taken on the same date each month. Twice now they delayed their promised arrive on date and most critically, failed to email or call me! Both times it had to do with payment and both times it was their fault. Its system seem well designed to double check to ensure that it gets all of its money even if that means that the patients don't get what they need when they need it.I am in the process now of trying to get my insurance company to use another pharmacy. You should too!
