Love this brewery bar! Everyone is so welcoming. My personal favorite was the lemon grass beer. So flavorful! I got some to go as well. There was a Korean food vendor from SF outside the venue so we got some snacks to go with the bar. Will be back !

Great beer. I love the Asian inspired flavors. I've been to their tap room multiple times in addition to buying their beer from outside vendors.

A great brewery, run by fantastic people. You can see the passion in everything that they make. As soon as I mentioned them, my friends all insisted they love Dokkabier, and that it's the best. They're right. Go check out this gem!

What an experience!!! Absolutely in love with this beer, like this beer is what legit made me actually start enjoying beer and love love love that the growth continues and expansion keeps going. Absolutely stand for this places success.Tasting room is nice and roomie, we just ordered the full tasting flight of 12 products. Enjoy most of the creations and looking forward to a few more unique flavors coming down the pipe.So stoked finally got to experience this tasting room and all the flavors in one sitting. Very much looking forward to good quality food additions (not just standard bar food) but elevated to match the top quality beverages being served. The bar (pun intended) is high.Keep up the great work and highly recommend to any beer lovers, beer newbies, and those looking to try something new.Enjoy responsibly.

Dokkaebier is one of the only Asian-owned and Asian-inspired breweries in the county! If you want to try some truly unique beers, you need to go to Dokkaebier's taproom. Dokkaebier opened in February 2020 (during the pandemic), but this did not stop its popularity from growing. The first time I saw Dokkaebier, I was at a brew fest, and they had the longest line at the event and their popularity has not stopped since. They are located in Jack London and brew their beer in the back of the tap room. Their taproom has a great vibe with plenty of tables to sit at, or you can sit at the bar and chat up the beer server. Everyone in the tap room is knowledgeable about the beer and is more than willing to let you try several beers to find the one you like. I am a big fan of their Bamboo Pilnser and Lemongrass Witbier. One of their most popular beers is the Kimchi Sour, which is one of a kind. They are also dog friendly, so take you fury friend and check out Dokkaebier!

Awesome place…. Great beer and even better staff. Got harassed by some random dude off the street, had nothing to do with Dokkaebier, but their staff diffused the situation and gave me free beer even though the situation had nothing to do with them. Definitely will be back to support this business.

Great spot with outdoor seating. Don’t sleep on the kimchi sour!! I normally don’t go for sours because they tend to be way too fruity, so this one is perfect. And not too overpowering. The staff are hella nice too.

I actually didn't know this place was here but glad I know! I came here because this was the starting spot for the east bay beer running club. I got there early so I was able to enjoy the space and beer (yes before running lol). The bartender was super nice, gave me a couple tasters and recommendations before I landed on a hazy. It's a pretty intimate space and there's some outdoor seating. Will definitely be coming back!

You want some unique beers in the Oakland area? Stop here. Dokkaebier is a Bay Area craft brewery that makes Asian-inspired beers. The name Dokkaebier comes from the dokkaebi, which are mythical shape-shifting creatures from Korean folklore. The dokkaebi are described as playful and mischievous spirits that love to eat, drink, and be in the company of others. We got a flight of four of their beers to get a taste for the spice of life. Kimchi Sour:A Kettle Sour that mimics the flavors of kimchi using ginger, gochugaru, and the brewer's own personal kimchi culture.Bamboo Pilsner:A European Style Pilsner brewed with bamboo and was my favorite of teh bunch. I get bamboo tea notes of bergamot, honey, and almonds with a nice bready malt base that comes off with a hint of sweetness. Easy to drink and super complex! In the Weeds:A West Coast IPA dry hopped with traditional west coast hops that come across as citrusy and piney with a bit of bitterness to round it all out.Chuesok Porter:A Porter brewed with Pumpkin, Rice, Cinnamon, Ginger, and Persimmons. A bit grainy on the mouthfeel, I think from the rice. Very light touches of warming spices, dates, and nuttiness. The pumpkin comes across less 'sweet pumpkin pie', but more pumpkin gourd-esque. Delicious!________
