Nope, I will never use them again. When I rent a car I expect to get the class of car I reserved and to pay the price at the time of reservation. They didn't have the car I reserved and forced me to to PAY for the upgrade.Bad business practice that I want no part of.

I reserved an economy car for 4 days. When I got there, they had an economy car but they didn't have pictures of the car so they could not release it. I guess the pictures will show any damage so I would not be liable. Fine, I had some time take the pictures. But they wouldn't do that.They upgraded me but force me to pay for the upgrade!How is it my fault they did not have the car I reserved ready!Unfair business practices to try to nickel and dime you for more money.No I will not rent from them again.

I was worried about the review comments, but I received good service. I went there at 7:30 am and took only 10 mins to get a car. The receptionist was friendly and gave a good explanation of what was involved in my booking. The cost was clear as well.

Take your business elsewhere. Arranged a standard sedan rental directly through Dollar's website, thinking that would mean I would have a standard sedan on site when I arrived. This was not the case.The attendant Dmitry couldn't care less about customer service, first he tells me there are no gas sedans on site and that I have to take an EV. I explain that I am driving to a location where I cannot use an EV and he is more than ready to just dismiss my reservation and send me away. That is, unless I want to upgrade my rental and get a *premium* sedan that they actually do have. Forcing drivers to take EV's can be extremely dangerous, their range and recharge limitations can leave drivers in desolate areas with no means to get back. Even after saying this, the guy is completely disinterested and keeps chewing his gum.After nearly doubling my rental fee with this choice (I needed the car), he can't get the chip in my card to work on his machine so he for the second time tells me I am out of luck and should leave. I finally ask for a manager (trust me I don't want to be a Karen) and he gets my card to work on the first try. At this point the whole rental process feels cooked and I wished I hadn't gone with Dollar at all.No callbacks from Dollar customer service after I reached out, and I can see quite a few others have had similar issues. Beware and look for other options.

The service was terrible. When we got there they did not have a car for us. Come on we reserved a car days before coming. We had to wait 2 hours to know if a car would be available. If for some reason we did not get a car we would of lost money on our motel. At the end we got a car. They were not kind to all the customers that came in.

Zero stars if i could. How could returning a car be this hard? Their website says they are open 24h. We entered the carpark at night only to find that a physical sign that says they open 7am to 3pm on weekends and 5pm on weekdays. Had to pay a $9 charge to exit the carpark and pay for a place to park the car separately. Came at 7am the next day after reading reviews, people were waiting outside because they only really open at 7.30am! The guy serving me at the counter was rude too. All in all a horrendous experience with a lot of wasted money and time. Makes me so glad I didnt need to pick up a car at this location.

Located just opposite Hotel Hilton....and Remember to do your reservation first before making your way to confirm your car rental.As it gets busy with "walk ins" after 8.30am...so arriving early by 7.30 or 8 am. It helps to speed up your car registration and getting your rental first.Do also take note that Dollar webpage list this location closes at 9pm which is not accurate, as it's closes by 5pm weekdays and 3pm on Sat.

Don’t book here. I had a reservation for two months for them to tell me it would be a 3 hour wait, which eventually turned longer. They tell you they’ll call you when the car is available. They don’t.They also sent some cryptic message the day before about a wait. Tried calling and emailing in reply to understand the delay and how I might be impacted. No answer. When you arrive and ask for more information and better customer service, they take zero accountability. “Our phones are turned off.” “That’s corporate.” You’ve got to be kidding me. I missed a close friend’s wedding due to this mess of a company.I can’t believe companies are out there treating their customers this way.

This place is horrible. I have booked with this company before in other states and had no issues until San Francisco. I wish I read the reviews before. Stay away from them!! We booked our car with Expedia and when we got there they said they don’t have a car for us. They can give us a 2 door car when we booked 4 door. When we asked for manager they rudely said you can cancel your reservation. Manager finally came out and he was rude as well and said he will cancel the reservation when we complained about their service. Long story short we never got the car and needed up at Alamo paying higher price for last min reservation.

Feared the worst after reading the terrible reviews but our experience was excellent. We arrived an hour early (they'd advised us to do this when we popped in a few days earlier, as they had been experiencing very high demand), were 2nd in the queue and were out within 45 minutes. Car was ready to go, clean, parked downstairs and we had loads of time to get ourselves ready, pack the boot and plan our route. We booked through VIP cars and had a rate that included several insurances, and the person as the desk (a Finnish man, didn't get his name, very polite and friendly) didn't try and sell us anything we didn't need.

Staff really don't care. Turned up before time to collect a car reserved for 10am. Was told there was no car ready and it would be 2 hours. This has spoiled our day as we had a trip planned we can't now take. The sole reason for booking the car for today. Observed customers before us having exactly the same issue with one guy who ordered a convertible being told there wasn't one. Another guy refused rental because they could not read his licence despite him reading it out to them. In the hour I was waiting I saw only one person handed keys.

Hi rented a Ford Edge with GPS rental record for 14 days from 07/30/23 to 08/12/23. I upgraded my booking to get a GPS in the car paying $65 per day. they were really pushy trying to sell me whatever and even lying about the insurance ...On 08/07/23 the car showed an alert saying that is engine oil change is required ( the car was at around 40.000 miles ). This means that Dollar gave me a not well maintained car and this is already unacceptable for a 14 days rental with unlimited miles. I called the call center 2 times ( the first time they were supposed to call me back but actually they never called back ...) and finally they proposed me 2 option: make the oil change ar a dollar approved garage or change the car. I choose to keep the car and make the oil change. From Bruce canyon ( where I was) they sent me to airport dollar office in Las Vegas. When I arrived in Vegas they told me that they don't do oil change, they wanted to give me another car but without a GPS ...something I need and I paid for. After speaking with 3 different people they sent me to the front desk where first they pushed me to take another car without GPS or to come back in the morning to see if they maybe got back a car with GPS. I asked if they could reserve the car with GPS but they refused to reserve it. I proposed to change the oil myself but they told me it was not an option. Finally they called their manager to ask his opinion. He decided to check the car and ...magically they took the car to make the oil change. I wasted many hours on all of that and Dollar partially destroyed our vacation since we had to skip touristic sites visit to find the time to fix the car. The way I was treated is horrible and unbelievable. I paid for a car and they tried in every possible way to give me something lower. No one was kind or supportive. Just pushy against the customer interest. I should just get a reimbursement...

Well, it would've been great but then when I was leaving, I realize they wrote on sharpie on my window !! it's not coming off and now I have to pay to get it removed even more than I had to payed to park!!!! so this place pretty much sucks and should burn in hell!!!!!!

No car when I show up with reservations. Apparently having a reservation here means “we will try our best and please wait for 3 hours”. They do not care. Steer away.
