I am just utterly utterly disgusted with the security over at the Hyatt but this time I did not I was just walking through we sat down we got told to leave and move and all that and that it was closed it's an open area why is it closed but yet not only was I told to be to remove myself I was rudely yelled at threatened that if I didn't have my dog with me that would be different outcome. And I know that the police in San Francisco would not help me they would stick to their little underlings security people even though she was the most vicious woman and continued to threaten me the whole time I was there through embarcadero one through four until I finally got to the Hyatt where I had been staying. I had sat down next to a couple and was charging my phone and she comes over there and says you guys got to leave see what you did to me see what I did I ruined it for everybody she said why this is what she did is a complete verbal felony with a terrorist a strike and a violent criminal and believe me she was violent and she called me everything between a crack or Coke crank I don't know some kind of head. to a dirty low life. And all I did was be in the embarcadero after hours. even though it is a completely open . I want something done to this form of lifeit was after 10:00 and it was embarcadero 3 I believe where she chased me out calling me every name in the book and threatening me that if I did not have my dog I would be I'm serious trouble!!

A great historical place for tourists to explore the islands from this place ferry building. The centre of San Francisco for big buildings, ferrys, shopping, stay, food etc.

Quite, have not been in this area for 3 yrs even though I live here. As expected many places are closed but several are still thriving

My appointment was great, and once I arrived in the area, it was very easy to navigate the parking, elevators, stairs, lobby, etc. Beautiful building and gorgeous open spaces with art and plenty of tables in the main area.

Great place to work. Gray parking and wonderful places to eat. Have been around for 4 decades doing business and enjoying every bit.

I go there a lot because it's peaceful and I can do my steps. I have been studying there for a year. It's great so far.

The Embarcadero Center is another urban redevelopment project which had the opposite effect of what was intended: it is a barren, stark, windswept set of edifices that oppress the spirit with the brutalist aesthetic. The architect was John Portman. He was highly successful as a designer-developer (Peachtree in Atlanta, the Bonaventure in DTLA, the Renaissance Center in Detroit). I am not enthusiastic about Portman, primarily because of the bunker like appearance and mentality, and the interior illegibility, of those mirrored cylinders. I will say, however, if you want to see an excellent example of his signature flourish, the interior atrium, the hotel that is associated with the Embarcadero has a spectacular version (he popularized this feature but did not invent it). He also has a lovely tulip sculpture, which appears to be a precursor to what I'd say was his most pleasing building, the Shanghai Bund hotel with a similar floral top, more delicate and mannered than what you might imagine from him. The problem with the buildings, which are inhabited by office workers who clear out when the day is done, is the scale reduces people to insignificance and the material is not inviting. Nothing about the exterior spaces, which also are poorly lit, is conducive to hanging out. I always wanted to be an architect. Perhaps I will do that in another life. I wondered why the many theories I read were abstract, based on concepts of controlling the users of the facility according to particular doctrines to be imposed; they were not premised on psychology and sociology. People want to feel as if they a modicum of power over their surroundings, not that they must be compliant with a set of unknown rules.I would avoid the Embarcadero Center. The only exception is the Vallaincourt Fountain. It is an homage to Quebec separatism, incidentally. U2 famously played there. There is the semblance of street life around it, in all its raucous glory. The art itself has fallen into disrepair as is the fate of public art. At least the Embarcadero Freeway came down with the '89 earthquake. That restored water views. I suppose I should not discourage people from perambulation near here. I have passed through headed to/coming from the Ferry Building, and you could say being able to emerge from the literal shadow of the Embarcadero complex into the light of esplanade is possible only because the towers create the possibility of a transition to someplace better.

It's a clean spot in SF, nicely done overall. Visited the night of New Year's Eve - before the fireworks. It was absolutely empty, other than the host of Security Guards.

So, I had reserved space at a wework office starting at 5 am. My keycard was malfunctioning and security would not let me contact wework to fix my key card. They made me leave the properties before even checking the computer to see my reservation. Won't be back.

The shopping is nonexistent. The premises are dirty. And one security guard was extremely rude. Stay away from this unwelcoming place.

Although a bit empty in some lots, this is a nice spot to walk through or grab a bite. There are a lot of nice seatings with tables. Near the Embarcadero Plaza if you need to make your way to the Ferry Building after. Nicely decorated for events!

Came here for sip shop eat event on the weekend, love the view of sale-force building on a nice clear night! Street parking is free on Sunday, if you looking for outdoor seating in the city with view! This is the gem for a free city view!

Cute mall, did not expect in SF. Lots of shops, loved the way it was laid out. If ever in area again would hope to return. During lunch there was some live music being played, was really cool.
