Like walking into the Props Department of every major motion picture studio in Hollywood. What a gift to the creative spirit of man this place is!

I like to support local shops, so when I want to get a fancy gift, I come here. I've bought a fancy robe there before for my mom, pajamas for my aunt, and soap for my own home. Today, I went to Emily Joubert to purchase a housewarming gift for my cousin. I decided on an $80 candle with some help from the manager. After I paid for the candle the manager was going to gift wrap it. She fetched a piece of wrapping paper and started to do her thing. In the middle of her wrap job, an older lady, who was being helped by another associate, wanted to purchase two very large tree decorations (probably worth thousands of dollars). The manager immediately ditched the wrapping job and took over helping the lady, including carrying these trees out to the lady's car. All while I'm standing there, waiting for my candle to be wrapped so I can leave to pick up my kid. After maybe 5 minutes, another associate came over and asked me if I needed help and I told her that I already paid for the candle, and could she please just put it in a bag for me, because I needed to go pick up my kid. The manager was in earshot. She didn't care, no apology for ditching me for the more expensive client, continued to make a fuss over these trees the client was buying.
What could she have done?
-She could have said, "Do you mind if I help this customer with something, and I'll get right back to you?"
-She could have let the other associate who was already helping the lady, continue helping her, but maybe she wanted the commission (?)
-She could have asked another associate to come finish wrapping the candle for me, so I could be on my way
Disappointing experience to be treated like a second class citizen in my own neighborhood. Also, the same candle retails elsewhere for $18 less than what I paid for.
I won't be back.

Ok products ridiculously overpriced. Customer service is inexistant and staff seems completely unexperienced.

Everything you could possibly need to furnish & decorate your chateau. The store beautifully designed. The walls are a luxurious dark green. Just in the door to your left is your wealthy aunt Mimi's country estate sitting room. There's a lovely portrait of her on the mantle, surrounded by her lifetime travel collections. Footstools upholstered in luxury rug fabric, candles, hammered (tin?) Milagros. Seriously, $54 for a flaming heart. Found one on Etsy for $8. Rent must be pretty high in tony Laurel Village.Nevertheless, the place is beautiful & perfectly curated, and I immediately bought into the fantasy. It's easy to justify buying something special, you know, for that special someone, who turns out to be you. That's how my bathroom ended up with French bottles of verbena lotion, and I'm not even telling you how much I paid for a wool throw.

A deliciously curated collection of coffee table books, gifts, jewelry and home goods.Probably my favorite boutique in San Francisco.Staff is really friendly and helpful as well. Parking in the back is super helpful. The holiday cards sent during holidays was pure class as well. Such a nice surprise and thank you. My go-to birthday, Christmas or just because store.

Loved this place. You can find everything that can change your home to a place more like home. I loved the candles here. They don't smell like the massively produced commercial candles, but their scents are so layered. I can't wait to see how they do in my house. People here are very nice too. They would come up and tell us about the discounts and promotions. Would love to come back again.

This is SUCH a cute, charming store! It is so well curated and presented. The French music in the background is perfectly fitting with its theme. It's a great addition to the neighborhood. I'll definitely return to buy gifts for others. Or myself. ;)I learned from an associate that they only have one other location, which is their original in Woodside, CA.

Very charming shop with wonderful selection of merchandise, great display with a European vibe.. Also, the staff in both locations are very sweet and informative.. Picked up lovely stationary, tasty biscuits , fragrance diffusers and very realistic bouquet of peonies .. ( I mixed with fresh greens) I shall return...
