Facility? Immaculate. Coaches? Average. Been deciding between a few gyms in the neighborhood and decided to use my free workout class. Showed up early because I expected a quick run down/facility tour before class started (I mean that's why they ask you to show up early right?) Nope. Went in and didn't get greeted by any coaches - but no worries because I walked around and started introducing myself to see who the coach was. Found the coach, introduced myself and then asked for a quick run down of the facility - he didn't want to give me a tour. Just told me to wait. I then ask him where do I even put down my belongings - he points me to the back wall. You see why a quick run down of the facility is necessary? Eventually got paired with another new student. The new student was very new to these type of workout classes. He asked me a lot of what the workouts were and how the class was structured. Luckily for me I've taken a lot of these type of workouts classes so I explained everything to him AMRAP, every 3 minute on the mark, etc. It was obvious the coaches' effort and attention was focused on the students he already knew. Which seemed odd because most coaches put a big focus on new students to gauge their form, experience, etc. for safety. This was not the case at this gym given the cost for this gym. It's not only the facility that's important but also the coaches.

Back again at Flagship Uppermarket. My best season ever. I managed with coaches' help to gain back strength, power, and get in shape. Extremely happy that Flagship community stays strong and has same amazing vibe as years and years before. Thanks a lot for being here for us!

Even though I've recently joined, I can already tell Flagship Gym is a great place. The coaches have been so helpful in getting me started on my fitness journey. It's a welcoming and supportive environment!

I have been going here for workouts for a couple weeks and so far I really like it. It is fun and motivating and the coaching is top notch. From a distance, it looks hectic and confusing but once you get into it, the exercises are intuitive. You can customize exercises according to your ability. For example, I started using dumbbells instead of barbells. And I use rings (like TRX) instead of pull-ups. There's no judgement, none that I've felt anyway. There's a warmup session to start and while wind downs aren't part of the program, they encourage you to stretch afterward. There are plenty of rollers for members to use. It's also ok to come and just do your own program on the side. (They have a strength and aesthetic program you can follow and the coach will give guidance.) It can get pretty full, so the coaches will typically gear their instruction to beginners unless help is requested or they notice you doing something incorrectly. I like the community aspect of working out together, it's more motivating than doing a slow workout on your own at a traditional gym. They allow you to freeze your membership for vacation or sickness or injury. They also give discounts for paying up front or signing a contract. As a bonus, you can bring your dog inside! I plan on signing up as I feel like this is something I can stick with.

Flagship is a world-class gym. As a member for over 6 years, I cannot speak more highly of the professional coaches, positive community, and premier facility. Flagship's programming that integrates strength, mobility, and conditioning -- paired with coaching focused on technique and safety -- has boosted my confidence and helped me significantly improve my overall health. I'd highly recommend Flagship to anyone in SF looking to take their fitness to the next level.

I’ve only been coming here a few weeks but really enjoying it so far. I switched from using a personal trainer at a gym and really appreciate that this is a balance between still being coached and having guidance, while also being more independent and forcing me to learn / pay more attention to what I’m doing. The community also seems great- have met a lot of people who’ve been coming here for a long time and seem to love it.

Joined last month but wish I had joined years ago! If you're looking for some coaching and some camaraderie to improve your weightlifting, this is your place. The classes are strenuous and dense with exercises, but that's exactly what I wanted. You get an action-packed workout for 60 minutes and then you're done. It's much more efficient than going to the gym and spending lots of time resting between sets. Plus you can get help from friendly people who know what they're doing. Try it... you'll like it.

I started at flagship a few weeks ago and I'm really liking it. I've never really worked out like this so many of the movements are unfamiliar to me and it was quite nerve wracking starting. I really appreciate how helpful all the trainers have been. They've been very patient, friendly, and great at waking through the proper form or recommending alternatives when needed. Everyone else I've met at the gym has also been super friendly so I've felt very welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Great coaches, great facilities, and great community atmosphere. Flagship has been my go-to gym for the last 3 years, and would not go anywhere else in SF. Coaches do a fantastic job of working towards different skill levels or personal goals even within the same class. Management is also extremely professional and member-oriented.

I moved to SF recently and tried a free Flagship class and was immediately hooked! Honestly, Flagship has been one of my favorite parts of being here and is JUST what I wanted and needed. SO many gyms/classes don't push me in the way I hope, but Flagship is the perfect challenge with support from knowledgeable, helpful and kind coaches. It's quickly become my favorite part of the day and I feel so lucky I stumbled across this awesome place.

Best box I have been to. The space is well structured with plenty of equipment for each class. The coaches really care about peoples progress and provide variations and technique cues which help people avoid the typical Crossfit car crash injuries. All programming is also put up on wodify for the week ahead, nice little touch.

Spent a month training with Flagship and had an absolutely great experience. I came from a more traditional weight lifting background and found the change to classes with a group to be really fun and challenging in unique ways. The coaches and members were kind and friendly. Was able to do classes but also sprinkle in more traditional weight lifting through open gym times. Hope to join again when I come back to SF.
