Les was a previous dispatcher with Foodrunners who was instrumental in getting Whole Foods donate a refrigerator box truck to Foodrunner and commended in a local news network for his hard work. What was Les reward for his efforts? Mary Risler decreased his yearly salary 25% which wasn't a lot to begin with considering his almost 50-60 hr work week. As stated by other reviewers, Tessa, the current dispatcher is a two faced Karen with little to no tact and empathy treating volunteers like uneducated employees. Definitely a good cause now severely undermined by toxic management!

This is a wonderful company that does great work and has a great mission, but the dispatch people are deplorable, unprofessional, and completely unreasonable. My network of nonprofits/community-based-organizations was blacklisted from receiving donations, because of a minor issue with the building maintenance staff. This came after 2+ years of having a very cordial and open working relationship with them, and I was always listed as an emergency backup if staff wasn't on-site.The founder (Mary Risley) is no longer acting in the best interest of the company, and should step down. The dispatch manager (Tessa) is two-faced and unprofessional. Do not do business with this company.

As much as the mission of the Foodrunners is commendable, unfortunately the management lacks professionalism and has no mannerisms and they will eventually harass you.My company worked with them for almost a year for weekly pickups and the company went backwards to accommodate Foodrunners demands and changing policies but all they ( specifically their food dispatcher ) did in return was to call and yell for literally anything, give ultimatums and throw tantrums.they have no understanding how partnerships works and being respectful should be the core of their business. There are so many other food donation companies that deserves the attention.

Food Runners lets me give back to the people in my community who need it, and help to reduce the amount of food that gets wasted in San Francisco. Thank you for doing such a great job for so many people.
