I've rented from Fox in the past, it's hit or miss with customer service. This location offers a shuttle from SFO airport. Customer service was fast and courteous from all employees. This location is off site from airport, I posted a pic with clear directions on how to find shuttle pick up.Car was fairly clean, It had a weird smell inside. I carry sanitizer wipes at all times. So I started out wiping the inside clean. The vehicle had scratches galore. I take videos and pics with all my car rentals. No time for foolery upon returning car.BTW: car rentals are beyond expensive currently, no more cheap rentals.No car issues, car rental served its purpose.Tip: let Fox Rental fill your tank. Gas stations are charging $6.69 per gallon to fill your tank close to SFO airport. Gas in California is approx $5.50 all-over the state. Indeed a bit of price gauging in my lovely state, shameful.Great trip along the coast, plan accordingly traffic is just that, Enjoy!BTW: Yes, I would rent from Fox again in the furure.

Shuttle from SFO to Fox location was OK, but it had no defined line at the pick-up location, and people who had arrived there after us were able to step in front of us and get on the shuttle first. Return shuttle took over 15 minutes before it loaded us for the return to the SFP airport. Check-in / car pickup took too long due to inadequate staffing (over 50+ minutes). The lobby was completely full of people, with some people having to stand outside, the whole time that we were there for our vehicle's check out.I was charged an early return fee of $20 for returning the vehicle *2 hours* early. The rental agreement only stated that there was an early return fee *per day* of $41. This is the 2nd time that we have gotten poor service from Fox. I will not use a web site (Wisecars.com) that might end up assigning my vehicle request to Fox ever again. If I knew that Fox was going to be selected by Wisecars, I would have cancelled my rental, but Wisecars only sends you the confirmation email with the assigned rental car agency shown just 48 hours before the first day of your reservation. I wouldn't use Wisecars, either.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Worst rental car company I’ve ever used. We paid for a car online before we even got to Cali. We flew in from across the country for my husband to have surgery. First, we had to shuttle from the airport to the rental car place. I thought it was actually in the airport so that was a bit of a surprise but it wasn’t that deep. Then, we had to wait an hour in line at Fox before speaking with anyone. Everyone in front of us had a problem at the counter, which was a red flag. I thought our pickup would be smooth since we paid online. Turns out you need a CREDIT card in the LEAD drivers name to pay the deposit to pick up your car, which we were not aware of. We did not have that credit card and they would not take any other card or cash for the deposit. Both the woman we spoke to and the manager were rude and did not offer any way to help resolve this. The woman tried to wave us off by telling us we had to move so she could help the next person. We ended up shuttling back to the airport and rented a car with Budget (highly recommend). We tried to call the third party we went through for a refund but Fox denied it. So we are just out the money we paid for the car, which we rented for a week and a half. Again, this is while we flew across the country for my husband to have surgery. Will never use this company again.

Just rented for 2 weeks from this location. The car was not safe! Front end shake, bad shocks, worn out tires....30 miles south, a 'air bag malfunction' light came on. Had to detour to San Jose airport to do a swap out (wiper blades not working, gas was not full) that took FOREVER! I would not rent from them again. This industry needs some regulating!!

Waste of time! Super slow and rude manager that allows people to jump at front of everybody just like that. I had Reservation at 1pm they were not able to get caruntil 4pm. Dont use this palce even if few bucks cheaper

The property is off airport and only a 5 min drive, but a 15 min wait for a van. The driver was extremely rude, controlling and strange. The rental office had a line of at least 20 people and only 2 agents that were painfully slow. The process was completely unprofessional and frustrating. I would never rent from them again.

The worst pick-up ever. I waited 2 hours for the car because they don’t tell to me the car for me is broken… wait wait wait, and decide to give me another car but the car wasn’t clean yet. I wait wait wait again and some costumer thay arrive really late after me got is car. They doesn’t matter the order of the customer. The car qas good and the drop off was easy too.. the compagny need to have more structure for the pick up…

First of all this place is Ghetto !!! The lady in the pic behind the counter has got to be the most mean and rude person I've ever met in my life!!!! We flew in from Texas to SFO for my son's wedding. We had our rental car reserved and paid for 2 months in advance and we had our confirmation number .We arrive at SFO at 1pm and we head to 4th floor where all the rental car places are the tell us we have to jump on the air train which took us about a .5 mile to this ghetto building. As we are walking up we notice several people waiting outside and it's a pretty hot day for SF.So we stand in line this place was HOT inside no AC the elderly lady had ask this lady in the pic if she could open the door it was hot and stuffy the mean lady yells NO ! You no open door! I was just shocked! But I waited my turn and when it was my turn I approach the counter and go to give her my confirmation and she starts yelling NO CAR! NO MORE CAR!!!! I'm like WTH?Long story short we got no car , sat for 4 hours until my sister could come pick us up, it was a 2 hour drive for her , we did not get home till 9pm that night!!! A whole half day of our vacation wasted !!!!! Next morning went to Enterprise and had no problems. Stay away from FOX CAR RENTAL!!!!Remember you get what you pay for, the car may have been cheap but in the long run it cost us over $1000 with out time lost, new car rental, sisters time, etc...Again FOX CAR RENTAL at SFO Airport, stay away!!!! You have been warned.

Price was great and people are nice enough but the service is horrible. Wait time was over 2 hours to get to the desk for my PRE RESERVED car then I needed to wait another 20min for the car to be brought up to me.Highly suggest using an alternate rental location.

I always have the best service when I use Fox Rent a Car. Which is great because they beat everyone’s rates and they have the best cars. Each time I’ve used Fox, I always have some nice interaction with one of their employees. This time it was Pam, one of the shuttle drivers. I had just come from hospital, saying my final goodbyes to my mother, and I hadn’t had breakfast or water. I mentioned this casually as we were loading my suitcase in the back. And she just quietly went and grabbed two little bottles of water and brought them to me. So thoughtful. Whatever you’re doing to train your staff and create a positive work environment, keep it up Fox!

If there is a zero rating, this place should get a zero for their wait time. We wait for 1 hour in line with just 7 people ahead and we did not get the car we reserve which is a Nissan. The customer service told us if we want to get the Nissan , we have to wait another 30 min so they gave us a van which we don't want to as it's hard to park in San Francisco. And we have to wait for another 44 min for the van to be washed. Total time wait to get the rental car is over 2 hours . Totally waste of time. Never book through fox rental again and I will inform my credit card company about their bad service

I arrived in San Fran from nj after a 5 hour flight. I still had a 1hour car ride ahead of me. Finding fox from the airport wasn't horrible as they had a shuttle bus pickUp location. But I waited about 15 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. Once I got to the office I waited over an hour on line. There were three tellers working and about 8 customers ahead of me. Every single customer got a different car than what they had booked. It was comical. I booked a small two door Toyota and walked out with a 3 row highlander. Personally I didn't mind the extra room for the samePrice. But it was sooooooo slow getting that car. It also made a winding noise when I accelerates.

Picked up a car in SFO for 4 days. Was hesitant at first because of the reviews but the low cost was very appealing. We loved the entire experience. Check in was easy and quick. No issues during our trip and à super easy return too! Kudos to Edgar for being so personable.

Nice car, just had a lot of previous damage. Prices are better than most. Most staff was nice…except the clerk helping us. She needed a re-boot. Shuttle was very easy and convenient… overall I would absolutely rent from them again

Unorganized, crowded, understaffed. The executive team should be embarrassed with the complete and utter mess that they've neglected.
