The Golden Gate Theatre is a beautiful, historical, and magnificent theater in downtown San Francisco. It is a preeminent, world-class venue, well-kept and luxuriously remodeled with comfortable seats and clear views. The architectural splendor is lovingly preserved. The overall experience is good with great sound, though drinks are not cheap. The staff is noted for being helpful and accommodating. However, the locale outside the theater is described as unsafe, dirty, and creepy, with significant concerns about homeless people in the area after shows. The neighborhood is considered an icky part of the city.

Saw Puscifer at this awesome old venue. Sat midway back in the orchestra pit and had a great view for the concert. The sound was excellent... I guess the only negative was the size of the lobby. We were able to get parking a few blocks away for $25 online just a week before the show.

Great venue for a concert, great seat anywhere you sit.
