Corporate is running these stores into the ground. Selection is terrible these days, overpriced, dirty or damaged items, not much to look at. Not opening dressing rooms after the pandemic is a total scam so they don't have to properly staff stores. I used to thrift here all the time, don't bother with this store anymore

Been coming here for years never had an experience like this. Walked in and started going through clothes, employee was extremely rude to me and raised her voice at me to not go through that rack that was just out on the floor. Super inappropriate behavior and am very put off , really sad to receive such aggression at a thrift store

Ppl seem to forget that all the items goodwill sells are donated to them. They spend absolutely nothing on their inventory, the fact that their prices seem to be rising is beyond me. They're not donating to charities either. Greedy corporation owned by millionaires. Don't forget that.

The cashier in the store was so nice to me and my siblings. The quality of the clothe here are great as well, and also not very pricey.

This was the worst Goodwill experience of my LIFE. Meaning I've lived from here to Vegas and down to the south east....the cashier was so beyond rude and was talking to a friend they had behind the register who said some extremely inappropriate slurs to her all because we were trying to check out. I've been in the service industry for 30 years and have never been so disrespected. This place needs new employees for real.

I'm so glad to have found this Goodwill branch in Sanfo! The manager has been incredibly friendly and helpful, and the store is well organized! 🥰 Thank you, Edz, for taking the time to assist me when I was looking for jeans to match my husband's shirt. 😍 God bless you and more power to you all!

This Goodwill is awesome, the Staff has excellent customer service and ensure your shopping experience is worthwhile. They have a balance selection of clothing, home goods and shoes.
The recent bad reviews are questionable, the staff here are highly professional and most of them are golden girls, so for them to put up with the stresses of terrible customers just shows how much this location cares about the community of shoppers in this area.
Despite this shop going thru positive transformation, there are still the string of shady shoppers, shoplifters, and crazies, but thats a general problem of San Francisco. Now, me witnessing the Hazel that recently reviewed was a disgusting pitiful human being, she appears to be, for lack of a better term, a deranged nutcase making a scene and berating the elderly staff, screaming and making a ruckus of herself like an immature child with a tantrum for not getting what she wants. Also, fitting rooms no longer exist at all Goodwills because of the string of thefts and people that do drugs specifically for SF in their fitting rooms. It is an unfortunate Terrible “entitled” woman to have existed, she looks drug-addled and should have been locked up, it is literally posted on all Goodwill locations and even on their website that returns are for store credit yet you scream and said demeaning threats to get your pocket change back. I am so sorry you are that broke to make yourself look like a fool. I digress but witnessing her sets the bar of crazy shoppers in San Francisco.
Nevertheless the lowlifes, this location has long endured the multitude of crazies and I commend their professionalism and patience of making this goodwill location a possibility in the right direction. ❤️✨

Goodwill changed their return policy, THEY ONLY RETURN STORE CREDIT, NOT YOUR MONEY BACK! This is disgusting. They no longer have changing room to try clothes on so now they make you buy it and if you want to return it, you can only get credit to buy more, NOT YOUR MONEY BACK. I luckily spoke to the manager and she returned the money in cash. When I was buying there no one told me of their new policy, I even asked about returns and they said yes after 7 days but they never said only in store credit. GOODWILL IS TRYING TO STEAL MONEY, apparently taking your clothing for free isn't good enough for them, they want to steal your money too.... I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN

I recently (May, 07, 2024, 12:50pm) had a disappointing experience at Goodwill that left a sour taste in my mouth. Upon finding an item marked at $1.99, I proceeded to the cashier to make my purchase. However, to my dismay, the cashier insisted on charging me $3.99 instead, citing some vague reason. Despite showing her the clearly marked price tag, she adamantly refused to honor it, resulting in a frustrating and unnecessary argument. It's disheartening to encounter such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and fair pricing policies. Needless to say, I left the store feeling cheated and disillusioned with Goodwill's purported commitment to serving the community.

I love goodwill haven't been shopping here since I worked for them 2010. I love the selection at this store. Spent almost 100 bucks like damn, half of my items fit. But, I will be returning some for some store credit. The Fillmore and the old mission location were my favorite. This one on ocean I like the customer service some of the older workers are sweet and have some that think you there to steal. But, it's understandable a little bit with this economy and the way it's going. I will definitely be back.
