We came in at 6:15, they close at 7 and the guy working in front said that we would be waitlisted because the kitchen was backed up and that we’d have to wait 40 mins. Mind you the restaurant was HALF EMPTY. He advised we ordered take out because it would take faster, but that doesn’t even make sense??? How would ordering take out be faster than dining in?? It’s just pure laziness from the servers

Waited an hour for mediocre pancakes, an entire hour! No joke. The menu says it’s 30 minutes but an hour is a lot of time. Wasn’t even peak time, we came in at 2:27pm.

Soo bad service, I was saddened to see the poor service. In fact, the place is beautiful, but the workers.... There was a female waitress, she didn't like to say hello when she entered the cafe, she spoke very softly and was not heard.

Always wanted to eat fluffy pancakes. I thought I'd have to go to Vegas to get some, but found this wonderful place.Original fluffy pancakes are the best! (so far). I tried many others, but the Strawberry ones tasted a little artificial like those pop stick candy sticks you ate as a child. The available side dishes are really well made. I tried almost all of them.Atmosphere is modern cozy Cafe vibes. I enjoy going to this little hot spot in the mall.

Delicious. Different. Pricey.Wheelchair accessibility: No lip on the entry. At ground level of mall. Might have to wait for seating.

UPDATE:Now that they no longer do the crazy schedules for purchasing the soufflé, i can say that their service is amazing <3Love the tree in the middle of the restaurant and their cold soufflé is delicious. I enjoy coming here every time I want to treat myself to a yummy treat.ORIGINAL POST:3rd time trying to come to this place. Mall opens at 11am on Sundays yet they tell u to be be here before. Are they insane? Everywhere and everyone will tell you the mall opens at 11am yet they expect you to come in to a closed mall because even tho the mall is closed "doors open at 8am" how am I supposed to know this? Am I supposed to be a mall employee? Am I supposed to ask em a tricky question? I refuse to try again to get food from this establishment until they get their act together and start serving people like any other restaurant in the area.

Really want to support businesses in the area but our experience was just terrible.- waitress kept dropping everyone’s pancake stack which is hugely disappointing. No one is going to wait another 30 minutes to get a new one!!! Seriously, you have one job.- stood waiting for a table while many were empty. Was ignored for a while- many items on the menu were not available. At least 3 things we wanted- service was slow even though there were enough people- table next to us left without ordering because service was so slowBrandon was great, so 2 stars despite all of the above

Great fluffy pancakes.Ordering and payment system are horrid. QR code-based menu and ordering system is horrid:It is hard to see the menu on the phone screen. It is very easy to miss the final order button. Then you sit there for thirty mins waiting for your food in vain.It asks you for a tip in advance.

We tried just the strawberry soufflé pancake here and it was absolutely incredible. It was extremely soft and fluffy and reminded me of the soufflé pancakes I had tried in Japan. The prices here are pretty high -- it was around $18 for a set of pancakes, but I do think it's worth it once in a while since there's no place that does it like gram around here! The service here was really nice too! It takes around 30 minutes to prepare the pancakes so we asked them if we could walk around the mall and come back when they were ready. The servers nicely agreed and the pancakes were ready just on time. Overall, highly recommend for a special treat!

Food, service, and ambiance was all 5 stars! Which is a lot for me to say (as I'm very picky and don't ever write reviews), I've tried Japanese pancakes at other places before and Gram café definitely does them best. The Strawberry Pancakes tasted like strawberry pocky sticks but with the consistency of a fluffy cloud. The Wagyu Beef Curry was also a perfect savory balance to this delightful treat! Will be returning again and again and again and...

Savory dishes were pretty yummy but not outstanding. Fluffy pancake was definitely better than what I made at home -- expect it to taste just like a souffle but with a fun jiggle added. Honestly the one thing bumping this spot from 3 to 4 stars is the dirty ube latte. Soooo good. Service was friendly though things came a bit slow. We waited about 45 mins for a table for Saturday lunch.

I came here for lunch on a Sunday with my friend. It was around a 40 minutes wait for a table, even though the waiter told us 30. We went to Uniqlo, MiniSo, and a Korean jewelry store to shop and browse around while we wait. It was a long wait because the outside seating is only for to-go orders but not dine in seating. They call you when it's your turn though, so it's not too bad of a wait since you're at a mall. Once we're seated, it was around a 10 minutes wait for the premium pancakes. I ordered the matcha and my friend ordered strawberry pancakes. It was very yummy and soft, so definitely worth the wait to try it at least once. I think this is the only restaurant in San Francisco serving Japanese pancakes. They also have dalgona coffee and only items I don't see at other restaurants that seem interesting to try again someday.
