I went to the Chestnut Street location and said "my back hurts, please sell me a chair." So they charged my card, and I asked when I could pick it up. Oh no. Can't pick it up. Have to get it delivered, and their carrier won't bring it inside, or call or text when he arrives. No, he has to leave it on the sidewalk outside my house. They can't even give a definite day. But I live in San Francisco, I explain. I have a bad back, which is why I am purchasing this expensive ergonomic chair to begin with. I either need it delivered and carried upstairs or I can come get it and then bribe someone to carry it upstairs for me. Then they tell me about the super premium delivery service they offer, which features carrying upstairs, and scheduling. Starts at three hundred. So I cancelled this order and got them to refund the charge, and then I bought myself a pollo asado quesadilla at Nick's Crispy Tacos nearby (now THAT was a five-star experience), and then I found the same damn chair on Amazon, used, for three hundred bucks cheaper, and the United States Postal Service will bring it next week, and I will bribe someone to carry it upstairs for me, problem solved. No thanks to these guys. No wonder retail in this town is dead.

Bad product and a poorly run company

Was going to buy a chair from them, but then I saw the zoom call from the CEO who chastised employees about visiting "Pity City" for not getting a bonus, because she took a $6.5 million bonus herself and left nothing for the people actually doing the job.

Review is for the Chestnut St location because they don't have a Yelp page. Went in looking for an office chair. The salesperson was knowledgeable and helped me find the PERFECT chair for me. The Mirra 2 is so comfortable I wanted to just sit in the chair all day. I didn't want to get up. The store has all models to try, and I wouldn't have been able to find this chair otherwise. I heard people rave about the Aeon and Embody - but those didn't feel particularly comfortable for me. They might be better for men.

Worst experience ever. They sent someone else's order to me, which is a completely different and much cheaper model. Also they delivered the package without signature even when I requested. Unbelievable!!

Friendly people here! They are predominantly a "contract dealer showroom" or something like that, where they show off Herman Miller stuff to potential clients for large sales. But we walked right in as two individuals and were able to see and test out a range of chairs and other office equipment. Beautiful location and setting.

Appointment only and doesn't deal with individuals, but you can't tell that from their website or the recorded phone greeting.
