Very friendly staff and fair pricing. I forgot to fill the tank up and instead of letting me pay the fine, they gave me more time to drive and fill the car up, even though my return time was already over. Everything wenn smooth, I would always choose them again!2

I had an outstanding experience with the Hertz car rental at Fisherman's Wharf, thanks to the exceptional assistance from the lady at the counter. Despite a booking glitch on Expedia that changed my dates, she skillfully accommodated a new reservation. Grateful for their flexibility and excellent service.

Had a great time renting from this Hertz especially after reading some horror stories from other locations. I rented a Polestar and my only complaint was the charge level expected to be returned with. With EVs it gets harder to charge to 100% as it gets closer to that limit and having a 90% return minimum gave a bit of difficulty. If it was at a lower minimum it would've been fantastic. Other than that little negative I would easily rent again for a seamless pickup/dropoff rental and the reception was very friendly + professional. Prices were phenomenal for rental and experience

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Had to rent a car on Jan 6th and 7th and dropped by Hertz - totally impressed! Despite being fourth in line, the two reps at the counter were amazing. They got everyone through super fast, and I was out in just 15 minutes. They were all about quick service but with a friendly vibe. Really made my day! I'll be heading straight to them for my next rental. ??

Long wait time. Why can’t I just check in on the phone and leave? Literally have to wait to check in with one employee, a line of 5 people, and wait another 30 minutes for the car to get ready

Come here if you’re a fan of wasting time.Booked two Teslas for our group, a week in advance. The office is staffed by just 1 person. We ended up waiting a total of an hour and half past our reservation for them to get one of the cars ready. Not only did the other come with barely any charge, it was filled with used napkins and trash. I have never seen a rental car in this condition.Unbelievably, they don’t even have the infrastructure to charge their own fleet, which means it’s up to you to spend the first few hours of your reservation waiting, finding a charger, before even starting your trip. I booked the car for a roadtrip, not to explore local supercharger stations.Not only that, but the car was filled with garbage in the console, seats and cup holders. Used baggies with unknown substances inside, used napkins with stains. What’s the point of a service charge if there’s no service?Listen to the reviews, avoid this place, avoid hertz.

They don't honor your reservations, they will give you the car they want (usually a more economical one) without any price adjustment.They will provide you with wrong information like saying that you don’t have to return the car fully charged (the EV model you didn’t ask for in the 1st place), and then after returning the car you will get hit with an additional fee on your bill covering the EV charging cost.Fun fact: you already had to charge the car in the middle of your trip (wasting time of your day to do so), meaning that the EV was already charged when returned but they still billed you for it (even tho you were told you didn't have to).

I had read online that the location in SF's fisherman's wharf was fully staffed and checking out cars would be swift. But it took us over one hour to even get the car, as the car we booked "wasn't there" when we arrived. Plus there were lines out the door. I felt bad for the lone employee (a very nice woman who did her best, but clearly needed more support). We chose this location because we live nearby and wanted to avoid the airport. Next time, we'll go elsewhere, and not Hertz.

Don't allow people to book cars if you aren't going ti have them available on arrival. Absolutely awful.

Absolutely shocking. We reserved a booster seat for my son, and they didn't have one so suggested we drive 2 miles away to purchase one ourselves, putting my son at risk. Totally unacceptable. Also had to wait over an hour while they cleaned my sister's car. Do not use this mob.
