No one walked me to the car to review any details before picking it up and it was all wet
The car was not even dry after washing it making it more dificult to check it
The person helping at the counter was also not friendly at all, even though I rented the car for two days tomorrow I will try to return it
From what I could understand to her return it at 7am is going to be a pain

Don’t rent a van. The garage is old and small and hard to get out of. They will charge you for scratches even if there is no space between two cars to get out. That’s irresponsible. Never renting from hertz again.

Rented a car weeks in advance for a pickup at 1pm to drive to an event at 4. Was told at 1:30pm with no advance warning that it would be an hour to pick up the car. Returned at 2:40 to be told that they would be able to get us a car “for sure before we close” but that there were no cars available and no timeline. There were at least a dozen other people waiting for cars. Called Alamo and National next door and both had cars available. Alamo got us set up in less than 20 mins. Thanks, Alamo!
Edit: Also want to note after getting the same vacuous reply from Hertz that others have gotten, that same response was given to people with nearly identical complaints two weeks ago, two months ago, three months ago, and five months ago.

I booked my rental car from Hertz a week in advance, and it was supposed to be ready at 10:00 AM. It’s now 12:25 PM and the car is still not ready. On top of that, I waited in line for 30 minutes just to be helped. I’ve rented from many other companies before and never had such a bad experience. Very poor organization and customer service. I do not recommend Hertz, and I will definitely not be coming back.

I was there yesterday 30 mins before my scheduled reservation. Within 10 minutes i sat in exactly the car i wanted. The guy at the desk (around 50-55 years old, littler darker skin tone) was very friendly and he did not charge me extra for anything i didnt need.
Actually I was very afraid because of the bad reviews of this station but it actually was the nicest experience I ever had.

I would strongly recommend against renting from this location. I made a reservation for a specific vehicle that was supposedly “guaranteed”, called the location to confirm the availability. Came at the time of reservation and they didn’t have the vehicle. The absolute worst experience.

This location closes at 5:00 PM and does not have express returns. If you are planning to return the vehicle, you have to pay extra full day parking at a nearby public garage until the location opens the next day. Please beware of this scam. The owner ‘Victor’ does not pay attention to customers.

I made a rental reservation at this agency, and I deeply regret it, mainly because the rental was not honored as it should have been. On top of that, the staff on site were particularly unpleasant and unhelpful when it came to dealing with a computer error that clearly originated from Hertz. No solution was offered.
I booked an economy compact car and ended up with a RAM truck. No matter how much I explained the issue, they kept insisting there was no problem and that I had specifically requested such a vehicle—which was not the case. The discussion went in circles, and the further it went, the more it felt like a scam. No solution was provided, and the two staff members on duty during my visit (between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. on September 16, 2025) were rude and dismissive.
I strongly advise you to rent a car from another agency in San Francisco. To me, this is a scam. The agency didn’t even take responsibility for the mistake, and when I requested a full refund, the paperwork was improperly issued—just a simple signature with no agency stamp. Right to the very end, the service was disastrous. Avoid this agency at all costs!

Truly, thank you ever so much. And of course, thank you for “passing on my comment to the relevant department for analysis.” Let’s be clear: I fully expect no follow-up, no solution, and plenty more empty phrases. And honestly, how could I not recommend your agency, especially given the outstanding competence, professionalism, and kindness of your staff? Absolutely remarkable. My only real advice to anyone considering your services: run. Run fast.
