Zero rating -10. This company totally sucks and I am a shopper. They rip off their customers and they rip off their shoppers. They are completely incompetent in every single way and no one should do business with them shoppers or customers.!!! In my opinion, they should be stopped as a company. They should be shut down and go out of business. Absolutely one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with in my 54 years.!!! There should be class action lawsuits against them from customers and shoppers!!

I got a 100 instacart card for $ 79.99, so I decided to try them out.Wanted to love Instacart, but it's an absolute sh!t show!Heavy prices tags, crazy fees, and the most horrible customer service ever!!!The only good thing was the awesome elderly gentleman who delivered my stuff. He gets 5 stars, but Instacart gets a negative-10.Absolute worst customer service I've ever dealt with in my entire life, and trust me, I've dealt with a lot. LolI will never use them ever again and don't say I didn't warn you!

Unreliable - deliveries always late or don't show up. The 5 usd doesn't make up for 4 hours waiting for an order with 2 shoppers that finally never arrived because the store closed. Oh, and the refund will take 5‐10 days. Unbelievable. This service is useless and after few experiences like this I start to wonder if it's not just a scam. Will not be using again.

Waited over 40 minutes on the instacart phone number that is listed to call, was able to speak with someone who was not happy to help. Then transferred me to a supervisor, only to wait 40 minutes later, I'm still on hold. I know they were waiting for me to hang up so I did and wrote the review I will be writing a letter to corporate not only for my instant that I called in for but definitely for the phone call. It was at 7:00pm Sunday .I will definitely join the boycott and not subscribe to instacart anymore and not subscribe to instacart anymore. Such a waste and time unfortunately.

Instacart has me heated ! Been on the waitlist for 2 years now ! There’s NO way EVERYONE in my region uses instacart on a daily basis or even at all ! YES I have a job but I actually love to make extra money on the side too ! The economy only getting worse .

As said in other posts good idea VERY POORLY managed. I chose to finally make a post because this will be the last order with them if I can help it. Placed my order for next afternoon deliver (24 hours), got a text this morning the shopper was at the store, then a good news the shopper found all my items and the final text that my order would be delivered as requested by 3pm. One hour later after the appointed delivery timer I got a text that the order/shopper had an issue and did I want to cancel or wait for it to be re-shopped and delivered much later than the time I asked for and some of the items were needed at the original time and I had to go get them. Reason I used the service was so I DID NOT have to run out and shop.Talked to the support team got the a story which I don't believe and the best they could do was a $5 credit for the inconvenience. (less than 1% of the order total)Would love to say the grocers that have online for pick up are any better but they are not. Don't bother with Kroger for one, they give your credit card info to all their associated businesses who then ping your card my bank trapped this as fraud that's how I know this happened.In closing business does not get technology is a tool and people should run the tool!Buyer Beware

I am undoubtedly disappointed & disgusted with this 3 ring circus of a company. The FEDS & BBB should be called in on Instacart. Customer service for the customers & shoppers is only available if you have an order placed or if you are the shopper working on an order. The shoppers are up against an over saturated group of shoppers, there are truly some legit shoppers then you have the shoppers that are using BOTS to scap up orders. The shoppers get ridiculous pay for what the company calls “batches” $7 for shopping 20 items & then have them drive 15 miles! Instacart is a Billion $ company that gaslights both the customers & shoppers.I highly recommend not using Instacart. Shop at your local store online- go personally to the store & pick up your packages.- SHAME ON INSTACART! They need to be investigated!!All calls to them is done overseas- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!

I gave this company a one star because they didn't have anything lower. I ordered grocers and their driver couldn't find the milk I needed, it happens. Apparently it's a sight issue because my groceries went to a different house.Number didn't work to call and complain and it's going to take 5-10 buisness days to refund my order. Never mind that I needed that order to make dinner or the money to buy from somewhere else.

If I could give this company a minus I would. They withhold extra funds until the shopping is completed, however they do not refund any funds not used. I have tracked my spending for four sessions and not once have they refunded the extra money (up to $15) from that transaction. Its a ripoff. When you call customer services they cannot explain it nor can they provide the company policies. In addition, I was told they do not have a phone number to anyone that can explain the policy and percentage withheld. Evidently the percentage is whatever they feel that day. The worse, I will never use again.

I ordered a buy one get one of sauce I need for my Thanksgiving dinner. The shopper asked me to approve a substitution, so I did and I approved it. I had very few items in my order . The gia russo marina sauce was missing. I went on the app to request a refund because it was missing.i received an email rejecting the refund and saying I could email an appeal. I called and the cs lady tried to call the shopper who never picked up. Back to emailing an appeal for a $10 refund. I emailed 8 times, each time getting a response to change my substitution preferences in the app. I wrote back very clearly 8 different times to 8 different people the item was missing. 8 times they sent back a canned response from all these people with names like this is being handled outside the USA. It's not even about the $10 , I have spent thousands with this company and always tip very well. But for this company to refuse to refund me repeatedly for a missing item (2) ? and to keep saying sorry you didn't like your substitution. Well, this leads me to believe that when an item is substituted, even if you don't receive it , their algorithm rejects your refund based on the substitution. Be very aware of this because if you order something very expensive or in my case $10 bucks and it gets substituted even if you don't receive it you will not get a refund and you will be dealing with a foreign customer service group that is basing their decision on an algorithm looking to deny any refund if the item was substituted

I used to work as a shopper for a while, after shopping for customers and paying with my devit card, I applied for a reimbursement, but they keep rejecting and don't give me my money. I only bought the items that the customer wanted, and the company just kept repeating that it didn't match, and I didn't seem willing to give money and didn't try to help, and it's been a month and I'm still not paid. Worst company ever.

I had my food delivered 4 hours after my order and my items were damaged. The driver dropped my cake and other items and delivered with bags torn. I reached out to Instacart on multiple occasions and requested to speak to a supervisor. A week later my issue is still not resolved and I did not receive reimbursement for my damaged and spoiled items even though I provided pictures.

If you think you want to try working for instacart I hope my experience helps you to make a more informed decision.Last night while doing a delivery for instacart. One of their customers decided that I shouldn't be on their property. It was pitch Black! I'm out in the middle of nowhere and this guy decides that if I don't get off of his property he's going to shoot me and made a motion as if he was going for a gun.A frantically tried to reach someone in instacart customer service. I don't know how it happened but I didn't have to wait 20 minutes that time to actually reach someone in customer service. The girl came on I'm screaming and yelling and begging for help. I'm asking her to call 911 and guide me to a safe place she had no idea where I was! She could not call 911. Or put me through to them.Turns out the Police were well aware of this guy! What was Instacart's response to all of this? Nothing! No one has contacted me yet. It's 11:30 AM the next day. No one cares! That man could have shot me dead no one would know where I was & what happened to me because Instacart hasn't even bothered to follow up to make sure I made it home safely after being threatened with my life over $11.00 of vodka.

I've used this service for many years. The ONE time I have an issue of not receiving an in-store sale that the shopper showed me.... (With photos through their own app!) They will not honor the sale and refund me the difference.They have made WAY more off me in all the years I've been with them than the amount they refuse to refund.So, be aware... they do not honor in-store or or weekly ad prices/deals.No longer a user of their platform. Makes no sense...

Instacart customer service may be the worst that i've ever encountered in my life. They refuse to acknowledge their shoppers mistakes even if you provide proof via picture of the paper receipt left by the shopper! This is in turn allows them to keep your money that you paid for items that were not delivered and/or wrong items.It's insane. Hypothetically your shopper could order a BBQ grill and keep it and * you * would pay for it because customer service refuses to acknowledge the shoppers error even if proven with receipt. I won't be renewing my membership when it ends. I'd cancel it now if i hadn't paid for a 12 month membership.USE another delivery service.
