We have sent our 4 year old Noah to a few sessions with Its Yoga Kids and our son loves it! Ms. Michelle and Ms. Lola take such good care and really plan a fun and full day with so much more than yoga! We appreciate how much thought goes into enriching these kids lives and teaching them about the world!

The family yoga class is such a perfect Sunday morning activity. We have been going on and off for a few years and we always have a wonderful time. Michelle creates the perfect balance of structure and fun that my kids really enjoy and learn from. The class feels like a nice little workout for the grownups too!

Michelle offers a wonderful and comprehensive teacher training program. I highly recommend this training for anyone who wants to share the light of yoga with children.

Our almost-5 year old participated in Its Yoga Kids summer camp and it was by far the best camp experience he had this summer. He absolutely LOVED every day of it, and I loved that he was coming home each day stronger and calmer than the day before. In addition to the great physical activity of the camp, there was definitely a calming, grounding effect. He'd wake up the next morning, excited to practice the poses from the day before. We often found ourselves balancing and turning upside down at 6:30 in the morning! I stayed a few extra minutes in the morning at drop-off, and I often arrived to pick-up early, and what I observed was exactly what I would hope to see at a yoga summer camp: teachers calmly leading the kids through activities and encouraging safe outdoor exploration, kids greeting each other with hugs and saying good-bye with "namaste", each child sharing his/her highs and lows from the day in group circle. It was our first experience with a camp for all ages, and my son learned a lot from the interaction with the 10-11 year olds too. Two thumbs up. We will definitely be back for more!

How do I give zero stars? My 3yr old really wanted to try yoga so I dragged her here from Marin and hyped up the music and the class (not really knowing much but what I saw on the website). It wa supposed to be at 10 and at 10:08 there was still no Michelle. I asked the front desk if we were in the wrong place and they said we were in the correct plane and gave me Michelle's number. She didn't answer. Now my toddler was losing her patience of waiting. Something seemed off. After talking to the desk it seems this is a common practice by Michelle to not show up for her classes and they commonly have customers who drove from the east bay or Marin only to find that Michelle doesn't show up. I'm extremely annoyed and disappointed. I expected more from a business owner. I understand life gets in the way, a kid gets sick maybe, or another excuse, but post it on your website if you're not coming!! So ridiculous. Maybe you'd have more people show up if they knew they could count on the teacher being there. Completely unacceptable. Especially for a class that is geared to 1-3 yr olds.

The teacher was wonderful, but I'd say that the class should be capped (with how many kids and parents), and they should go at the very minimum the full 30 minutes. Parents if your kid is crying like crazy the first part of class GO OUTSIDE, it's not really fair to all the calm kids, be mindful. Also, giving stamps doesn't count as part of the time, that should be after the 30minutess.

We have been coming here for a few years now and my girls love Michelle. She is so nurturing and kind we always enjoy taking the family class. My girls are now 11, they attended her class for kids only and have had a great time there as well.

I love this research based yoga class! Michelle is a joy to do yoga with. I look forward to more yoga with her when her classes start up again later this summer!

We love the family yoga class on Sunday mornings!! A class has to be really good for me to even think about hauling my cookies there at 10am on a Sunday but Miss Michelle works wonders with all the kids. My daughter is almost 2 now and we've been going for about 4 months. Its so much fun to watch her progress every week and come home singing the songs and doing om and of course being a cat and a cow all over the house. This class is engaging for kids but I also feel like I get something out of it which is something other parent/child yoga classes I've attended have lacked. Also parking is super easy for the Sunday morning class which is always a plus.

Not the easiest location to get to, and studio was quite cold. Also instructor arrived late, so we started late. Also overpriced for what the actual class was. Children need fun and creativity, not just verbal instruction and yelling. Will not return.

For almost 12 years, Michelle has offered classes and teacher training to our South of Market Child Care community.... Our parent interactive classes are the most fun to see parents with children practicing yoga in poses that children name-THE GORILLA? (lol), or crawling up on their parent's backs in synchronicity. I have always loved that she teaches NAMASTE sounds like "Mama stay" so the children have learned it soooo easily. She is kind, giving, and a professional who is also a mom. Probably explains her desire to teach the children so much! Can you say challenge? Don't worry, the children follow and do everything she asks them to try! When she can't come, Brooke comes to teach these classes with the children and they are consistent classes with good feelings from professional folks and we are blessed to have them working with us!
