Glad I found an HK-style rice spot. Two meats, some lettuce on a plate of rice with soup is a classic. It's quick and fills you up. Not going to give any extra points for hitting me in the nostalgia though. The meat was a bit cold and as BBQ pork goes, the cut had a nice mix of fat and lean meat, but was under-marinated. The roasted duck also only receives a passing grade. Sir Butcher needs to sharpen his knife and be more swift, there were several spots with bone shards!Portion was ok, for $15.5 I would've liked a bit more, but I can understand the bay area pricing. It's an ok spot. If you've eaten this sort of stuff growing up, it's a disappointing experience.

The portion size is really big, serving 3 people each. And it was so, so delicious!! suggestion!! The pork skin is crispy and perfect. The owner has a strong accent, which can be a bit confusing, but he was friendly and the tea was delicious~~ It was neither salty nor bland?

I had a really bad experience in this place, first thing that I noticed was how dirty everything was, the table wasn’t wiped, the attendant don’t speak english and I feel like she took advantage of us for that, changing our order to a combo that was the double of the price. It’s impossible to communicate with her, sometimes she just yell at you in Chinese lol, they really should do something about cleaning in their restaurant since they are working with food, I would never go back there for my own safety and I don’t recommend then to anyone.

Was looking for a recommendation for noodle in Chinatown from a random youtube vlog and got this place. Went there to give it a try. The staff at the front dont speak english so this aunty came and helped took my order, I couldnt read the menu as theyre in chinese ? so i just said i would like noodle with roasted pork. The service wasnt the best (typical authentic chinese restaurant) but the noodle and the pork were reallyyy tasty!! I spent about 18$ for that big bowl of noodle. Definitely will come back :)))

Nice simple place. Great food. If you are dining in don’t line up at the front. They take your order from the table. There’s a menu with English translation.

It is actually very unhygienic to chop a chicken without gloves and use that hand to collect money. no next time.

Great meal. As soon as I saw it was cash only, I knew it was going to be a good night. I went with another person, and ordered the roast duck, BBQ chicken with rice and a side of broccoli and could not finish it. Serving size was very generous, and was very delicious- could not fault. I will be returning.Priced very well and cheap for the amount of food you get. Owner/chef knew what he was doing.

The roasted pork and cold boiled chicken at this restaurant are incredibly delicious, and the roasted duck is decent. The vegetable soup is good too! Service is so so. Overall, it's a satisfactory experience.Reasonable price but CASH ONLY!!!

I ordered 5 dishes. Broccoli beef, sweet n sour pork, chicken chowmein, roast pork & roast duck. The roast duck was my ABSOLUTE favorite! Duck was juicy tender & perfectly seasoned. Roast pork was also AMAZING tender & super flavorful! All dishes were very good & HUGE generous portions. The staff was very kind & immediately offered me hot tea while I waited. The restaurant is a corner whole in the wall place but the staff & food is 4-5 star worthly. I will go back as a regular for the duck! I live in San Francisco & have had duck at many restaurants here, this duck today was superior.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair accessible door with a button to push & enter. Space inside is small but manageable if you choose to eat inside. Very friendly helpful staff.

The barbequed meats, central to a Chinese BBQ restaurant, were BLAND. Cash only is an inconvenience. The place was filthy. I'd suggest driving over the bridge to Gum Kuo in Oakland.

Food had a pile of salt, so salty it was bitter. They were rude and said, nothing they can do about it.

I usually don’t write reviews but feel compelled to provide this warning. Be sure to look at the menu and its prices before ordering. They will inflate the prices if you don’t, the lady taking our order knew we were tourists so recommended some dishes to us, we said yes and the final bill came out to double what the menu had stated. They charged $38 for a bbq combination rice and a soup which should’ve been much much cheaper. Don’t be fooled!
