This placed used to be an actual CRAZY HAT store. Went there recently and was so disappointed. Seems like this place has turned into just another tourist shopping place. So unfortunate! Bring back all the hats!

When paying, we could not understand the cashier and instead of repeating herself, she yanked my debit card from me and said, “oh my god!” And tapped my card on the machine to pay. Extremely rude and disrespectful.

This place has been a Pier 39 staple since I was a kid. It's a great place to get souvenirs and cool hats. I have noticed over the years though and especially this last time that I went, where are all the crazy caps?? Back in the day, there was an abundance of cooky hats like robot heads, dragon heads, Mohawks, horns, etc. Now, with the exception of a couple unique hats, it's really become just a regular hat store for the third of the store that is actually hats. The rest of it is like all the other souvenir stores. I was a little disappointed because they seemed to have lost the meaning in it's name, Krazy Kaps. I don't know. Maybe it's a seasonal thing and they bring out the cooler stuff during certain parts of the year or when certain movies come out, but I was kinda bummed. It's still a great store, just not what it used to be.

My 87 year old dad lost his SF GG Bridge hat we bought on vacation a year. He was upset and we decided to see if we could get a replacement. I called the store and Richard was so helpful in looking for the exact hat! We sent him a pic of the hat. He looked through the inventory and even contacted to the supplier. All for a $4 hat!!! Thank you for taking the time!

A nice place. Not as much selection in men's hats as there once was.
