BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP. DISHONEST. Now run by The Swickard Group. We have photographic proof and records for the facts below. We had our Jaguar XJ8 serviced in July, 2023. They said brakes had to be replaced, which we did ($1500.) but they never advised us to replace the oil, which was so low it didn't register on the stick. (We had an independent dealer check our brakes and car thoroughly because we didn't trust the dealership's work nor representations).Within 24 hours of the brake repair our solenoid valve went out and we brought the car back. When we picked up our car again , the leather on the driver's side seat back was ripped and grease was on the seat back. The mechanic had left a screw driver bit for a drill on the driver's seat. Our emails and calls to service personnel went unanswered. We finally met with Anthony Ma, the Service Manager, who implied that the damage existed previously. He offered to sew up the holes ( needle and thread). The damage was too extensive for this: the ripped area needed to be replaced with new leather. He refused to do this. He said the leather was old but our photos prove it is in excellent -very good condition. After we returned our rental car we received a charge for $56. for Bay Bridge tolls and gas. We have time dated photos showing the rental car tank was full when returned, and proof that we were in Menlo Park for 3 1/2 weeks, during the times they said we were crossing the Bay Bridge at approx. 5:30 am. We ran a Carfax report on our Jag: no maintenance servicing nor repairs since Swickard took over are listed. We checked with Jaguar of Marin and another luxury car dealership, both of whom add customers' service records to Carfax. It is SOP.We took Jaguar Range Rover SF to Small Claims Court . The clerk in City Hall said the Defendant was Jaguar Land Rover USA, whom we served; they showed up knowing they weren't the Defendants, even though they had an obligation to advise us of this beforehand. The judge checked his computer and couldn't find the appropriate defendant to serve. Our case was dismissed. The Swickard Group has done a good job of insulating themselves from honest customers who have been cheated .We have owned 2 Jaguar XJ8 cars: both have been serviced without incident at this dealership since 1995. Since The Swickard Group took over the dealership we have encountered the above problems, and more. There are other, honest Jag dealerships in the Bay Area. Save yourself anguish, time, money and serious problems ( dangerously low oil and your engine could be ruined) and use an honest, reputable repair shop that will stand behind their work ( and remedy mistakes, when necessary).

I have leased multiple cars from British Motor Cars, but my Land Rover experience is probably ending it. 1) Blown tire. Ok. The replacment was broken and never stayed inflated from day 1. Not sure how it was released like that.2) Had an insurance issue. Needed a copy of my title to solve. The response was absolute dismissal... call Chase. Well it has now been 2 months and I still don't have a copy or insurance so my Land Rover is an insanely expensive paper weight. This is Chase's fault too, however I'd expect the dealership to lift a finger or help. Instead... crickets although they did contact me to quote me a new car...

This dealership is a total con job. Never ever go here to purchase a car. Quoted one price and then came back with a "premium charge" of 10% on top of the listed price. They will certain price gouge you.Avoid at all cost

In a world of car sales, Josh is a shooting star. My quest for a Land Rover Defender led me to him, and what a journey it turned out to be!With the spirit of an explorer and the knowledge of a seasoned guide, Josh made my Defender dream a reality. But it wasn't just a transaction - Josh aimed for a true connection. He stood by as I inked the deal with my new ride, ensuring every detail was perfect.Hold on, there's more. Josh went above and beyond, making a personal visit to collect a signature. Yes, you read that right - he brought the paperwork to me. Move over, VIP treatment - there's a new gold standard in town, and it's called "Josh."So, if you're after a Land Rover and a touch of enchantment, remember the name Josh. He's not your regular salesman; he's a magician who'll conjure your car dreams into reality.

Do not go to this service center. The service in horrible and there’s no communication from my technician or service manager. My car was in the shop for almost 2 weeks and they could provide a loaner car to me. When I finally got it back, I had more issues with my car. I found out from taking it to another mechanic that the issue wasn’t fixed and there was still an oil leak in my car. This place is dishonest. Now I need to get my car fixed again

If you're looking to buy a car in the Rover family, call Josh!. I told him that I had very little time and he immediately sent me the inventory for the car I wanted. Start to finish the entire process took very little time and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and all business when it came to getting the job done.Even though the dealership closed in the midst of my purchase (I came on the late afternoon), Josh made sure I understood the basics of the driving system before sending me out on the road. Ive bought a a few cars in my life and this was the most painless transaction to date!

The right side mirror of my 2019 Range Rover Sport was damaged. Very frustrating as I had only purchased it 2 months prior. Luckily, Tyler at the SF Land Rover/Range Rover/Jaguar service department off Van Ness assisted me in getting it fixed. It looks brand new. He was soooo helpful and very knowledgeable, also awesome customer service provided by him. He was great!!!!

Very shady business practices. Do not service your vehicle here. I have been buying and servicing vehicles here for over 15 years now with very few problems until the last 2 years. I currently own a 2016 range rover sport and a 2019 f-type which I service here. After my most recent service visit, I will no longer be coming back, nor will any of my family and friends who service their vehicles here.I had my Range Rover in for routine service a few months back. My service advisor (who I will refer to as 'D' in my review) called me from his personal cell number (which I thought was strange) to tell me all of my brakes and rotors are worn out and no longer safe. He quoted me over $6000 which is significantly more than I have ever paid for brakes and rotors for this same vehicle out of this same service department. He then was 'nice enough' to tell me if I paid him cash he could do it for half price out of his home garage, explaining how he used to be one of the top technicians that worked in this service center. Furiously, I rejected the offer and took my vehicle with my 'unsafe brakes and rotors'.I did not drive the car much over the next couple of months and I ended up bringing it in to a local Range Rover specialty shop in San Francisco to have the work done to my vehicle. Shortly after I dropped off my vehicle at the other shop, the guys called me to let me know the brakes and rotors are barely worn half way and the work is not needed.I haven't purchased a new vehicle from this dealership for over 4 years now and I will not speak for the sales department, but I would advise anyone servicing their vehicles here to do it with extreme caution due to greedy tactics.

Tino was a great sales rep, however Land Rover sold me a faulty car, with a cracked moon roof, faulty transmission and a broken rear differential. They put me in a courtesy vehicle for 3-4 weeks and every time I call Chuck Stieb from the service department to try to get an update on my car I get no answer and have to wait for him to text me to get an update on my vehicle. Absolutely the worst experience for my first vehicle purchase with an authorized dealership.

I had the pleasure of working with Tyler at Land Rover and I can't say enough positive things about my experience. From the very beginning, Tyler was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He listened attentively to my concerns and kept me informed every step of the way. Not only did they provide excellent service, but they also went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the work done on my vehicle. I was truly impressed with Tyler’s attention to detail and their commitment to ensuring my Land Rover was running at its best. Overall, I highly recommend Tyler to anyone looking for exceptional service at Land Rover.

Amazing customer service. Chuck is knowledgeable and transparent. Even though service took a few days, I was provided a loaner car which was helpful. The service staff was extremely friendly.

Bobby was great and honest when I bought my used car from here. He took the time with me so that I would feel comfortable with the car. The finance guy was also nice. Wasn't pushy with the warranty stuff. Just told it how it was.

I would like to express my appreciation for salesman Josh, who provided excellent service during my experience. He was truly wonderful to work with. However, I did encounter an issue regarding a $3,000 gap in the final numbers due to a tax calculation discrepancy caused by the software used for pre-commitment of sales numbers. Unfortunately, the team did not adhere to the agreed-upon numbers, and it is evident that they are aware of the issue since both software systems belong to them. Despite this setback, I still wanted to acknowledge Josh's exceptional customer service.
