We had Leela SF lead a module in our retreat this August, and they were great! Beforehand we had a strategic conversation about what to focus on and why, so the design of the activities aligned well with what we needed as a team. The facilitators reached out when they were en route to our site which helped a lot with coordination. During the activities the facilitators were great at engaging the group and adjusting activities so we'd get the most out of them. They were clearly experts in their area and a pleasure to work with.

My 6-person work team did an improv class as a team building exercise. A bit about me: I hate team building exercises. I fully expected to roll my eyes during our class and wish for it to be over. I was wrong to think this. Steven was a fantastic facilitator and teacher, and he created an environment that was fun, productive, and comfortable. We had a lot of laughs and we actually grew closer as a team through the class. It was a fabulous time and I would happily do it again! I also wanted to add that Jill took the time to work with our team's leadership to curate the class to work for us. She helped us identify our goals and then made sure Steven had exercises that worked toward those goals. From beginning to end, it was a flawless and easy experience. Thank you, Jill and Steven!!

Our company team recently attended an amazing improv class led by Diana and Steven. We had a great time while improving our communication and teamwork skills. The exercises were engaging and challenging, and the instructors were exceptional. Highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a team-bonding activity for work.

I booked an improv workshop with Leela as my team's offsite activity. I first spoke with Jill to understand the process and align on the agenda and then for the workshop itself Steven was our coach and he was wonderful. We had a 2.5 hour schedule where we learned through play, laughter and reflection. There were various games that involved physical and mental activities. It was a great improv experience and I strongly recommend for others considering this for their team bonding and learning events. Also huge plus that Leela has a space to host and it's in a great SF location.

Leela Improv is amazing!! This was my first experience taking improv classes, and I’m so grateful I started my journey here. The teachers/values/community/culture make this a life changing experience. Drop in classes are a great way to dip your toes in the scene, and the levels clases are perfect when you’re ready to get more committed to your improv practice!

Having attended Leela's drop-ins, taken their Improv Levels classes, and as a part of their PIE program, I think it's clear that I'm obsessed! I joined Leela back in 2019 in an effort to bring new and happy things into my life after a difficult phase in my life and it quite literally changed my life for the better. I cannot stress enough that the instructors here are amazing, talented, and thoughtful. They helped me find my voice in a time when I had lost it and I cannot thank Leela enough for helping me be a more confident and brave person. If you're looking to explore improv for the first time, want to try something new, or are just finding a reason to play again definitely start with Leela.

Amazing amazing amazing. I am an experienced improviser and I went to a beginner class for a refresh with Jedediah. One of the best classes I’ve had ever. Super warm comfortable environment. It was also a drop in class on a Monday so that’s another plus!! Super easy to join. Jed was super professional and I could feel his love for improv and how much he wanted to share it with his students. I actually brought my French mother who is half deaf to the class and she participated with the patience of the class and Jed (who even spoke a little French) which was something that amazed me. Thank you to everyone in that class and to Jed and Jill for creating such an amazing environment! Can’t commit to full classes but want to keep dropping in whenever I can!

When I joined my new organization as a sales leader, I knew that building a trusting, open, and collaborative environment is paramount to success. After two months into the role, I planned an offsite for me and my six team members, and I looked for a top rated improv class in San Francisco. The team at Leela did not disappoint! Jill was incredibly responsive when I first reached out, and Diana was an amazing host for our two hour class. Everyone on my team was skeptical about this (especially since it was our first day together as a group), but they all walked away feeling more connected as ever. Do not hesitate to book Leela if you're looking to level up your trust and collaboration on your team!

My department at work had Leela facilitate a team building! Jill, Diana and Reggie designed and facilitated such a fun improv class. We focused on communication and getting out of our comfort zones. It was such an inclusive judge free environment to let our guards down and learn how to interact with each other as colleagues. Seeing each other in a different light then a meeting environment was so fun! I highly recommend Leela for your next group work activity, if you are looking for a different creative outlet in a corporate environment.

Whether as an audience member or performer, Leela puts emphasis and makes sure everyone is in a welcoming environment! I highly recommend checking out their online shows, and in-person when everything clears up. Their performance groups and class shows present unique formats and themes with performers with a variety of backgrounds! Even if their material gets edgy, they still make sure that audience and performers are in a safe place. The inclusiveness continues to their classes! I have done many drop in classes and James with Steven Burnett, Diana Brown, and founder Jill Eickmann. Really couldn't ask for a better group of instructors that embody the company mission, and doing so with classes that balance performance work and play! I highly recommend checking out their shows, and giving some improv classes a try! Whether or not improv performance is the goal, their classes can help with many public speaking, relationship, and personal benefits!

We had Leela run a team bonding event for us over zoom and they were so creative in how they got the team involved!! We had such a blast! Improv typically makes me nervous, particularly when doing it with a new group but it was like no other improv session I've ever done. There was nothing awkward about it! The best part was how Jill and her team were able to tie the exercises into a great way to incorporate skills into our ways-of-working, enabling us to be more creative while pushing one another to do great work. So impressive!!

I have been taking on-line improv classes with Leela since April of this year. I've been a regular at drop-ins and also am taking their level ii class. Classes are well planned, beginning with a check-in so students get to know each other a bit. Afterward are games that help students learn the main point of that class's instruction, and after that has been scene work. Instructors are experienced, caring, and supportive. They also set boundaries that allow everyone to feel safe. The classes attract a diverse group of students in terms of age, experience, and ethnicity. The classes have made quarantine bearable for me. I'm only sorry that I live too far away to take in-person classes after the quarantine is over.
