Working with Catrina at LOCZI Design was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. She helped me design and select pieces for my bar, showroom, and home, and everything turned out beautifully. Her eye for color, tile layout, and the overall flow of the design is truly impressive.

As a former partner in residential construction, I was searching for a high-quality, difference making design firm for my remodeling project. I was looking for an innovative and creative design to completely transform the look and vibe of my condo from a traditional style to a modern luxury look. After interviewing a few of the better firms in the Bay Area, I settled on Loczi Design. Eva from Loczi thought of significant design improvements that three other builders I had bidding on the job did not even contemplate. This included raising areas of the ceiling, removing non-structural walls and relocating plumbing to places which no one thought was possible. Not only was the transformation stunning, and I mean stunning, the level of attention to detail and creativity in maximizing what we could do was sensational. As I write this, we are not quite done and the decorating stage is yet to begin however, the before and after pictures here show a hint of the total transition. Hidden behind the felt cabinet doors is a complete Atmos cinema quality speaker system..

We started a renovation project and soon realized we needed help with the design in terms of space planning and finishes. We didn’t want to move any walls, but we really wanted the space to work better and fit our needs. Catrina, Paige, and the team were AWESOME to work with. Catrina listened to what we needed, provided layouts, and walked us through the design thinking as to what each layout’s strengths and weaknesses were. We had a old kitchen we liked but wanted to use part of an adjacent but slightly awkward room. Catrina helped us arrive at a great solution that we’ve been living with and loving. She was also helpful on materials and at pulling in other team members to work with us on finishes for things like paint colors (love the cranberry), tile, and door hardware. Super helpful also in saving us from some of our own more naïve design choices – like noticing that the view into a bathroom when the door is ajar would be best to look at stonework in a shower rather than the toilet. Thanks, Loczi team, you are wonderful to work with.

Working with Eva and Loczi has been an absolute privilege. We feel so fortunate to have met them because they turned our house into the dream home we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Eva’s incredible ability to truly listen to our preferences and needs, paired with her knack for offering thoughtful and on-point recommendations, made the entire process seamless and enjoyable.

Working with LOCZIdesign was one of the best decisions we made in our kitchen remodel-turned-bigger house project. From our initial project call with Mike to our many productive (and fun!) meetings with Catrina, this team guided us in ways we didn’t even know we needed. I can safely say we couldn’t have done this project without them. We now have something we love and continue to marvel at daily.
Catrina is amazing. She’s creative, but practical. Daring, but realistic. Funny, but serious about her work. She knows all the right questions to ask to really understand her client’s taste and needs. And the best part - she listens. She helped us to make some decisions that we never thought we would be considering and encouraged us to dream, but she never forced anything on us. She always let us know what our options were and gave us the rundown on the pros and cons of these options. She helped us secure a general contractor who was also a pleasure to work with and who could meet Catrina’s tough standards. She oversaw every step of the project and let no detail slip. Communication was great, and I never felt like I couldn’t reach out or ask questions.
We still have another phase of future work to do at our house, and we will definitely be getting LOCZIdesign on board before we start. We kind of have a rule now: we don’t make any house decisions without consulting Catrina first!

I used Loczi design working with Catrina on my kitchen renovation in 2016 and loved her design and work so much that I asked her to do my bathrooms this year. She brings a dedication, a unique aesthetic and an eye for detail that I’ve never come across before. The contractor was blown away by the plans she drew up that left nothing to question (and thereby to possibly screw up). She is on site checking on things routinely and is constantly making sure things are going according to plan and look the way they’re supposed to. It is so nice to be in her hands knowing that everything will be done right the first time and that you’ll have a beautiful outcome. I couldn’t recommend anyone any higher than her. And Mike and Loczi make it all so easy as well with easy to understand billing updates and with no surprises. All around I loved the whole process which is saying something.
