Mendels! You never disappoint! The perfect neighborhood spot if you sew and need just that ONE thing. I’ve been shopping here since the late seventies, and this is the perfect go to spot to match thread colors, (they have every shade of Guterman’s) or find a bit of trim. They’re still Far Out, but too not far out to get to.

Solid craft store! Went to the front desk to ask for help starting a new project as I've never made jewelry before, and they showed me everything I would need to start. A little expensive but worth it for the help and quality of items.

The perfect craft store (and locally owned to boot). There is a section for everything. Painting of all types and mediums, paper, books, putties, dyes, stickers, knitting, trims, buttons, a sewing section, scrapbooking.
I am obsessed with this place and always spend way more than I anticipated because there’s so much greatness to find. They regularly update stock and also bring in high quality items from small sellers.

I came here for fabric and metal studs, and Mendel's had a large stock for much cheaper than other craft stores in the city. All the employees are kind and super helpful in every way. I've come back on multiple occasions for their help. They also have a nice location, easy to get to by bus.

I was pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of supplies this store carried! They had the basics but other things I hadn't seen before for different categories. They had really good prices too! There's definitely a variety with cost and supplies. The customer service was good too, they were kind and welcoming, didn't bother me much while I was shopping.
