Wish I could find a phone number for this place! It is in my neighborhood and I need my couch re-stuffed and possibly re-upholstered. They have an excellent reputation in North Beach and I love the article about Freddie's sandwiches in the window. I will continue looking for a good phone number.

Wonderful work, a true artisan. I've had chairs, an ottoman, pillows made and an old sofa turned into a fabulous centerpiece of my living room. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

If you are looking for an upholstery shop LOOK NO FURTHER! Brad does excellent work and communicates very clearly. He recently reupholstered and re-stuffed my sofa sectional. It looks amazing and is super comfortable. I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend him.

I have a beautiful Victorian Eastlake chair with an hourglass back and large seat. I had stitched needlepoint for the back and seat. I got an estimate of over 1200. Milanese and Son did a beautiful job for 450. He came to my place while I was at work, measured and told me how much plain upholstery fabric I needed for the backside of the back and for the arms as well as the sides of the seat. I was astonished at how soon it was ready. He picked up and delivered promptly. I have had him reupholster 3 dining chair seats and I'm getting ready to have him pick up a rocking chair and reconstruct the springs and webbing then reupholster it also. He's given me contact info for caning the seat on my Lincoln rocker for which I'm very grateful as there aren't many crafters who still do caning.I'm totally happy with this business man and craftsman. I'm recommending him without any question.

I have 4 mid-century modern danish chairs that I wanted reupholstered. They were used by my mother since the 70's. Her condo in San Francisco was being painted and the painters did not cover the chairs. Paint was all over the chairs. Since I live in San Jose, I had the chairs taken to San Jose for reupholstering. After going to one place and called another place, I was not happy having my chairs done there. Then I looked up Yelp while I was in San Francisco. Milanese & Son is around the block from the condominium. After talking to Barry whom I immediately connected with and have a good feeling about, i decided to bring the chairs back to San Francisco to have them done at his shop. I just got the chairs back and I am very impressed on the excellent job that Barry and his helpers did. They even got rid of the paint spots on the wood. I almost wish that I have more chairs for them to do. Did I mention that their prices are also excellent? You can't go wrong having all your reupholstery needs done here. They remind me of the old world craftsmanship that is lacking in other businesses.

I recently had Milanese & Sons re-upholster a vintage chair I inherited from family; they did a beautiful job. This was my first experience with furniture re-upholstery, I didn't know what to expect and I was a little apprehensive since they don't have a website, or seemingly, a store front. But I gave them a call, and I'm glad I did. After getting in touch, I emailed a couple of pictures of the chair, along with a few dimensions, so they could give me a quote. I had the quote within a couple of days, and it was much lower than one I had received from another company. You can order fabric through them, but it sounded like the choices were limited and on the higher-end cost-wise; they told me how many yards would be needed and I bought the fabric myself. They picked-up the chair once I had the fabric, and delivered it back to me when it was done. I was really pleased with the results, the chair looks great. My only complaint is that it did take longer than estimated for the chair to be ready, but compared to the cost, ease of the process, and the results, this is a small issue and I still heartily recommend them to others.
