Update: our car needed service again and Torx never disappoints. Al found the problem and recommended other issues to fix so it won't be worse down the line. We even got the car back earlier than we were expected. ?% recommend his shop to anyone.----------Great service and they are very knowledgeable!

A little update (4 days later) I fixed it by myself. I don't work on cars and I don't know what I'm doing. I watched a YouTube video and was able to solve my problem. Can you even imagine. I'm not at all verse in what I'm doing, and I was able to fix it. A company that has 40+ years experience turned me away for something I literally fixed on my own. The top works great now as well as the trunk. Wouldn't even look at my car in person to see if they could fix it. Just stated that they don't work on convertible fiats. My top worked great until last week there was a slight rattling noise so I was touching where the noise was trying to figure it out and the convertible "guide" pops out. Meanwhile it's 9pm at night and pitch black dark out. Im using my phone as a light with only one hand free... I emailed them that evening looking to make an appointment. I got no response, so I called and they answered. This is 5 days later. My email was very to the point and descriptive. He says he won't even look at it and that they don't repair convertible tops. So I said I got it, I have some other repairs that also need fixed. He asked what they are, i said I would like to fix the trunk, he says the trunk most likely isn't working because of the convertible top, which up until Sunday evening worked great and I never had an issue with it. So you mean to tell me the trunk doesn't work because of the convertible top not working even though 5 days ago it worked great? And the trunk hasn't opened since I got the car?!? I said ok no worries. Another thing is I want to get the headlights replaced as they are yellowing... he's still going on about the trunk and convertible top and how they don't work on convertibles, not giving me a chance to even talk about other issues I'd like to address... I am from a small town with mechanics in my family, my dad took the engine out of his old Subaru and replaced it in another Subaru with a better body style. My uncle owns an atv/motorcycle repair shop. I used to race motorcross and I would do then ups to my bike. I say this because, to not even take a look at something in person to even see if you can fix it... my mind is blown... take your business elsewhere to a shop that actually values having business... I don't know how they have 5 stars... must have paid some people for reviews or only told happy customers to leave them.

I needed some new brakes for my FIAT and found Torx specialized in FIATs and was located in the city which were two pluses for me. I called to schedule an appointment and they were able to get me in within a weeks time. From speaking with Al, I was glad to tell that he was very familiar with FIATs. The check in process was smooth and Al knew right away what parts he had on hand or would need to get ordered in when I originally called. (I had a disappointing experience at another place who didn't check inventory before I arrived so I wasted a day). He was upfront in letting me know if the rotors would also have to be changed once he inspected so I wouldn't be surprised. The whole process was smooth and my car's brakes no longer rattle so Al did a solid job as well. I'll definitely bring my FIAT back for any future service.

09/23/22 I owned a 2011 BMW and after my friend who used to work at BMW could not fix my car I had my car towed to TORX motors. My car did not run. When you went to start it it would almost turn on but it would not turn on all the way.So, my friend told me to take it to TORX Motors as they work on BMW's. That was the worst mistake I ever did! My friend told me that Al-(owner) was honest and fair. What a lie! My friend told me that he thought the problem was in the timing. Al called me and told me I needed a new motor and it would cost more than the car was worth-$14,000. I almost had a heart attack when he told me that. My husband and I bought the car in 2018 and when I had it towed to Big Al it had only 108,000 miles on it. I asked Al what he thought I should do because my husband had passed away 6 months after we bought the car and I was a widow living on Social Security and a pension and he told me that he would buy it for $2000.00. Not a full $2000.00 but $1200.00 for diagnostics and $800.00 for the car. I could not believe him and I asked him what he was going to do with this car if it needed a 14,000.00 engine! He told me he was going to put a new engine in it and resell it. Well, I looked up what the car was worth and in Kelley Blue Book it was worth at least $8,000.00. I tried SF BMW and Carvana to see if they would take my car as a trade-in but they don't take non running cars. So, Al had me up a creek with no options and he knew it! Yesterday I went down to TORX Motors and saw my beautiful 2011 BMW and signed it away to a highway robber. I was charged $1200.00 for diagnostics and walked out of there with $800.00 for a car which we paid $12,000.00 4 years earlier. Whatever you do don't take your car to TORX Motors unless you want to be treated like I was.Oh,by the way Al told me if I did not make up my mind by yesterday he was going to charge me $150.00 a day storage fee. That is pure BS as when I went to his garage yesterday there were only a few cars there and plenty of room for cars. What a crook! Danielle B.

I was surprised at how easy it was getting my Fiat checked and worked on. Al made it easy. I will be back if the car needs some work.

My Fiat 500 was having an issue with the seat and Torx was able to solve the problem quickly! They were flexible and responsive when I needed to change the appointment time, and were far less expensive than Fiat dealers too. They also made some recommendations of other repairs to be completed in the future, and I absolutely did not feel pressured in any way. You can tell Torx truly has the passion for taking care of cars correctly! I look forward to bringing my car back, knowing it will be in good hands :)

Another excellent experience with Al at Torx. Because my daughter daily drives my Abarth, I asked Al to replace the timing belt, water pump and accessory belt early (120K i/o 150K recommended).

My 124 had a clunking noise from the front left suspension area - another mechanic couldn't find any problem, at Torx they were able to find the culprit in a matter of a couple of hours, after driving and lifting the car for around 180$.They shared some pictures they took of the worn joint, and suggested the exact part number - since the part wasn't available online within the week, they suggested I could go ahead and find it on cheaper reseller, and possibly bring the car back to install it.Overall very satisfied! :)Service: Vehicle Inspection
